Joe: If you just need a beach shoe or something quick to throw on for an outdoor walk, these are great. However, if you intend to use them for walking at the beach down in the water, I would not recommend it. Sand and shells easily end up inside the shoe and create a very uncomfortable experience. For most other uses, these are good shoes and I like the color and styling.

hippiduck: I didn’t expect much from this water shoe but it’s truly a gem. Can’t say about its durability since it’s my first time using it but it is holding up like a champ. Salt water, fresh water didn’t matter. Worked well and was very very comfortable which was the main reason why I am so impressed. Mind you I am flat footed and everything makes my feet hurt especially “cheap” shoes but not with this one. For the price and functionality that you get it truly deserves a 5 star rating.

Trixie Bee: After knee surgery not strong on my feet. These grip well, I’m really happy with them. They are a little wide but they stay on my feet. You must get the black shoe that’s red on the back and yellow arrow on the sole- this is the version that has the grippy soles. Other colours/styles may not. So far so good for me with my aqua therapy sessions!

gene: To prepare for a trip to AZ and UT, I spend a great deal of time researching inexpensive water shoes for myself and 3 other family members. I was looking for water shoes that were rubber soled (for maximum grip), sturdy, fast drying, meant to be submerged in water for a longer period of time, comfortable and for wide feet. These shoes have all of that! These have been worn for about 8/9 hours on 3 seperate occasions by my husband and children.
Slide Rock State Park in Sedona- worked amazing, no one slipped on the rocks.
Kayaking Lake Powell in Sedona- again, held up great.
Zion National Park in Utah- great hiking shoes and BEST type of water shoes for the Narrows! No one lost their footing and the shoes stayed on.
All and all very comfortable. My husband had flattish feet and he didn't complain that his feet hurt. NOTE- I returned them for me because I have wide feet and they were not wide enough for me.

Spice88: Decent enough shoes. Only thing that I don't like is the red and white F patch on the back of the shoes. Should be all black like the rest of the shoes or absent.

Shannon BShannon B: I bought these for kayaking! I am a Women's Size 8. I ordered the Women's 7.5 in these water shoes. And my toes still have tons of room (without socks).
Size 6.5 would be way too small for me, so this is as close to my size I can get.
Fortunately, tightening up the laces does make a world of difference in terms of making my feet feel secure in the shoes.
ADVICE FOR TIGHTENING LACES -- especially for those breaking the rubber lace bindings -- DO NOT just pull on the laces at the top. Tighten them carefully at each "criss-cross" and then secure at the top with the lace "lock". Don't be too rough with them.
The tread is good and strong, the material is nice, the rubber lace loops are pretty durable, and they feel comfortable on my feet.
Also the color is great.
They do "pucker" a little between the laces, especially if you're tightening them enough to fit. But this is because instead of a shoe "tongue" like hiking and street shoes have, the water shoes are one complete woven "sock," so it makes sense that the tightened fabric has no where else to go haha.

Amazon Customer: I bought these last summer (2020) and stored them until this summer (2021).
On first use one shoe fell apart and worse - it was on day one of a week-long canoe trip. These were only my dry campsite shoes, not the ones I used for harder-core portage and related activities. Glad we had emergency crazy glue. Yes they're cool looking
UPDATE (8/26/21): in refunding my puchase price with no arguments whatsoever. I score the company very high on service and styling. It just needs to get quality control in-line which is ultimately why I rated the SHOES so low.
UPDATE (10/12/23): I'm now on my fourth pair of these shoes so I do like them. My foot is very wide and they fit beautifully. Here are two cautions: First, tighten them up! One reason I'm on my fourth pair is that I didn't do so on a canoe trip and each of two times we washed out a shoe slipped off. Fortunately not the same foot so I now own a "pair" of one blue and one grey. TIGHTEN THEM UP IF YOU'RE IN RUGGED CONDITIONS. The second item is far more important: The sole, while very grippy, wears out super fast. I barely made it through a 10-day canoe trip with portages and my choice was to toss them out or fix with...

NN: I purchased these shoes for a trip to Costa Rica and used them for all sorts of activities, including white water rafting, hiking, and canyoneering. They were sturdy and comfortable, providing plenty of support on all kinds of terrain. The removable soles also meant the shoes could dry somewhat quickly. Can't recommend them enough.
