Peter and Sheri: I want to love this ladder and mostly I do. I love how portable it is and how it's pretty easy to use. I've never had any kind of accident with it, never gotten hurt in any way from it. I've used it many many times outside my house. However, it still scares me to death every time I use it because it feels flimsy, especially at the top and I'm always worried that it will, all of a sudden, collapse down while climbing it. I'm also always worried that my fingers will get smashed when closing it up/collapsing it even though it has a safety thing with hydraulics or something that keeps it from collapsing quickly. I love that the base is really wide. I feels very stable side to side however, the feet are rounded and a fairly stiff plastic so they don't grip smooth surfaces well. I would not trust this ladder on a smooth inside floor.

Mister M: I have never in my life used one of these telescoping ladders so I didn't know what to expect. I had no clue hot to operate it and the instructions are terrible so I watched a Youtube video and it showed how to operate it. Is weird and inconvenient that it has to be pulled from all the way at the bottom and you have to grab and pull up all that weight. If you are a not so strong elderly person or have back injuries this product might not be for you. It is not super heavy but there is some weight to it. That will depend entirely on each individual's lifting capabilities.

I needed something reasonably light and portable to put in my vehicle but also fairly tall so the 12.5 Ft was the perfect one for me. I don't know how long this ladder will last but I hope it does and as long as it stays reliable and I don't fall it will be okay. I am using this ladder for indoor projects in studio rooms so it is on a flat surface AND I got it with the Stabilizer bottom support. It does feel pretty sturdy/solid and it did not move or slip and I liked that.

I did extend it all the way up but I did not go pass the red step, but I was still high enough and I was able to do what I needed...

Poc Network // TechPoc Network // Tech: This made for a fun ladder to test out before coming to a decision on it. At first, it was a little wider than we had expected. Not over-wide, but as wide as a normal heavy-duty ladder. When you are looking at it in the (item) pictures, it looks as though it is more narrow than it really is (or maybe that was just us).

Weight isn't bad at all. It's around 35lbs, which may sound a little bad to some, but really this is good for a ladder of this height. A balance between a good weight and not awkward to carry around like a normal metal or fiberglass ladder typically is. Comparing it to the "little" (name we likely can't mention per policies) ladders (which is the closest thing to compare this to in review), this one is less awkward to carry around as it very neatly/naturally tucks underneath your arm, making it easy to move around with it.

The locking mechanism made us nervous at first, but it seems to hold just fine (and we definitely tested it out). We tested it for weight as much as a certain safety organization would suggest in the regulations that exist out there for ladder safety. It seems to hold up just fine.

When extending it to its full height, you...

Shana Bunce: Initially this ladder hit all the marks except for one - it is sturdy, light, easy to carry, is pretty easy to extend, etc. The one thing I didn't like at first was that the ladder either had to be fully extended or you could only extend it as far as your height and arms could reach. The self contracting feature didn't allow me to make the ladder the exact height I wanted. I like to put my ladder up against the roof edge and go approx. 18" - 24" over and step over as I get up on the roof. At first with this fully extended it would be 4'+ above the roof and I would have to step around which I didn't like. Then I realized I could extend it all the way, then as I went towards the top of roof, I could re-tract the top rungs/steps from being too high to the height I wanted by pushing up on the red retracting buttons at the bottom of rung. The self full retract has to start at the bottom with the switch type buttons you move inward, but the red bottom rung ones can be done independently after its fully extended from the top. Hope that makes sense. This tip is not in the instructions. The instructions only tell you along with the q&a that the ladder has to be fully extended or you...
