Windflyer Alarm Clock for Kids and Toddlers

DMS79: We purchased this for my 5 year old, in hopes of keeping him from getting up at 4 or 5am every morning. We've had this alarm clock maybe 2-ish weeks, give or take. It's super adorable, but already it's faulty. We turned the alarm on, had everything set the way we wanted, and used it for the school week. For the weekend, we turned just the alarm off so it wouldn't go off at 7:15am on Sat and Sun morning. Then we turned it back on for school on Monday. We changed no other settings. But now the sleepy face no longer comes on at night with the sleep setting, it stays a smiley face instead. Also, the alarm will not turn off now when it sounds. We have tried pressing and holding the snooze button and other buttons like the directions said, but the music won't stop. Instead, we have to unplug it. We tried pushing the little reset button a couple times and starting all the settings over from scratch again, but the sleep face still won't come on despite being set, and the alarm music still won't shut off. If it is already faulty within a couple weeks, I worry how long it will actually last before other settings stop working.

JNHMA: My 4 year old loves this clock. She likes the face. She likes the colors. When the wave noise shuts off, she wakes up so it’s like an alarm clock but no alarm needed. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because when we lose power, there’s no option for battery back up and she wakes up when the wave noise shuts off. This has happened twice in the last week and I wouldn’t even know the power is out except for her little face is all of a sudden very worried that the power is out - at 4:15 am or 1:44 am - and in my face telling me all about it. The battery that’s in the clock saves the settings at least which is amazing, but I just wish I could put a AAA battery in there to keep her asleep for that kind of thing. Highly recommend though! Get the clock. It helped her understand staying in bed when the light is red and definitely helped when the clocks change.

Jodi: Update: we still use it everyday but decide whether to have the alarm sound, or the green light for the wake time. We were contacted by the company and offered a free replacement or a gift card. We opted for a replacement to see if the issue of not being able to use the wake and alarm at the same time is fixed.

Got this for my 4 year old that always asks if he can get up. We liked the option to set a time to visually show him when he can get up. We set the lights at night to run all night long. Set the wake time to 7am, set the alarm to gently wake him up at 7am. 3 days so far, the green light never comes on with the wake time. I've tried everything, read the manual more than 10 times, watched the videos... he wakes up and looks for his green light and says is not working because the green light never comes on

Amazon User: Pros: It works great for sleep training! The faces and lights give the perfect signal to my kids on when it is bedtime or time to wake up. I think it is super cute and I LOVE that locks so my kids can't mess up the settings.

Cons: This would be perfect if it weren't for this issue- Let's say if the face is sleeping and red and you want to change the sleep time to be earlier the next night. Rather than the light staying on after you change the settings for tomorrow, it turns off and goes to the neutral awake face. So, then I have to switch the bedtime time to a minute later than the current time for it to go back to sleep mode. The only way for it to go into sleep mode is if time passes until the set sleep time. It's hard to explain, but it is super annoying. I basically have to wait until it's wake time the next day to change the bedtime settings so we make sure the red light is on for bedtime.

autumn: This clock does it’s job for our 2 year old. Took a few nights for him to understand that he can only come out when his clock is green but after a few nights- it totally works for him!! Every once in a while he will come out while it’s still red, but all I have to say is is your clock green or red and he will go back to his room if it’s still red. Only complaint is that it has soooo many adjustable features that it makes it super complicated to set up. So amazing you can customize it but I’m dreading changing his wake up time cause I don’t want to deal with trying to figure out all the buttons again.
