Mr. Harrison: Didn’t expect this book to have as much awesome material as it does. Definitely shouldn’t out there to be purchased by just anyone but if survival and prepping is interesting to you grab this book it’s informative and peaks the curiosity of preppers.

V: I love to collect books that are or were once considered taboo… book came exactly as described. The book itself contains a lot of outdated info and a lot of info that could be dangerous in the wrong hands, but it makes a cool addition to the book shelf!

Regarding the reading material, many other reviewers claim the books a waste of money and that the material is basic and well known. To that I would assume it’s just individuals discouraging the purchase of the book as this is not the case at all, unless you are an experienced chemist in drug and explosives production there is plenty of interesting information for the chemistry enthusiast or the individual interested in how criminal elements do certain things.

In regards to the electronics and improvised weapons material, these sections would be lacking most as the electronics are extremely outdated and most people know how to make a club and what a handgun looks like but I still found it interesting for historical purposes.

Outside of the recipes and how to guides there is some historical value as the author writes about the history of many drugs and revolutionary groups as well as story’s of his own experience, which I found made the book more interesting and less of a “how to commit crime” step by step that...

Reuben: I picked this up mainly out of interest after a discussion with a professor about the pros and cons of 'banned knowledge'.

The book is a little bit disappointing frankly. Anyone with even a middle school level education of electricity/circuits could have designed the devices in this book, the reputation this book has a some treasure trove of guerilla weapons is ridiculous. Every explosive design can be reduced to 'place an incomplete circuit in something flammable, trigger completes the circuit'.

There is nothing in this book that the average adult doesn't already know, or couldn't figure out in a few hours. Honestly, this book seems to exist just as an anarchist or libertarian icon, with little to no actual useful information in it.
I imagine the two types of people buying this are either people buying it for the sake of having it, or people trying to be edgy.
