Bean: Bought these to replace a set of really notchy tuners I bought for $17. Nothing would fix those. These required no fixing. They just work, and they do it smoothly. They hold a tune nicely. Highly recommend these.

CR: Easy install, nice finish, great price. Maybe not quite Gotoh or Grover, but 90% there for half the price. A great upgrade if you're struggling with tuners on your axe.

Ed: These are my go-to tuners. They don't provide a locking mechanism. Instead, they provide a second shaft hole, positioned to assist the easy tying of luthier knots, which lock strings as well and easily as locking tuners. They provide nearly the same benefits for less money because they use simpler designs than the true locking tuners and last better because they have fewer moving parts and won't break down as easily.
I don't buy locking tuners. I buy these!

Yan Bourgeois: I bought these to replace a bad tuner on my Jackson Adrian Smith SDX and I have to say, I’m extremely happy. Replacing them was a breeze as the screw in the back is located at the same place as on the Jackson tuners. The Dual hole system locks the string in so you have that locking tuner effect. The black finish is a bit thin and fragile but overall, they are very nice.

Joje and the DoktorJoje and the Doktor: Bought a set of 6R for an older Stagg as part of a budget overhaul and am pretty satisfied with them. They look great and work better than expected. They don’t hold a tune as well as the high end locking machines will, but for under $30 they are more than worth it. Sturdy and easy to string up (YouTube video on it explains how if you’re not familiar) and they hold up to the heavier gauge and hybrid string sets I use as well as my firm attacking and liberal use of the tremolo arm while strumming. I currently have them on my main player and play 1-3 hours daily, I tune the guitar once maybe twice a week and am generally not even a half step off when I feel the need to do that. If you’re not picky about perfect tuning you’ll likely go weeks between tunings playing daily. I honestly feel like these and a high quality nut (I use GraphTech Tusq) are second only to installing quality pickups and internal wiring when it comes to turning a “meh” ax into one that produces a satisfying tone and sounding like a higher end guitar.
I just received a second set of 6R for a FrankenCaster (old Ibanez strat-body, Jaguar bolt on neck, Duncan Invaders at neck & bridge both coil...

Gary A Luke (Slacker G guitar skills): I have used these on several Strats with no problems. I was using high dollar tuners for years but I switched to using these when I found that I was paying more for the high dollar brand name and not necessarily the quality. They work and they don't jump or slip. What ,more do you need?
