Salty: I have installed many Westinghouse ceiling fans. This is the 1st one I had problems:
- was doing a flush mount and the canopy would not fit over the bolts in the yoke. The bolts have security TORX and I don't have the tool to tighten them:-( I ended up filling away some of the sheet metal on the canopy.
- once I had the canopy attached to the ceiling I turned on the motor to test the electrical connections. The shipping stabilizer tabs kept the motor from turning freely. The instructions should say that the tabs should be removed as soon as the canopy is attached, followed by testing the motor function.
-My fan came with noise damping motor gaskets. I found it was easier to screw the bolts through the bracket into the gasket while down on the ground. The gasket holds the bolts in place. After setting up the fan blades this way, it is easy to take the assembly and bolt it to the motor rather than juggling the gaskets bolts and blades overhead.

Susu: Received the product and it had scratches and marks on the housing unit. Plaster on the ceiling attachment. I was unsure how this had been treated, It stated on used but not marked.

Tech Guy: Just installed this fan after removing a $29 fan from lowes. Spend a few extra bucks and consider this fan. I was concerned about humming, buzzing and vibrating like the cheap ceiling fans. Installed this in a small 10 x 10 room. A room bigger would recommend a larger bladed fan. This works as expected. It's quiet on medium and low speed but a little noisier on high speed as the blades spin. One thing I noticed compared to a cheap $29 fan was the motor unit is heavier. This is a two person job if you flush mount it (mine is flush mounted). Didn't want the possibility of extra wobble and noise with the spacer. With the spacer can simply hang it from the bracket while attaching the wires. Would not try to hold this up from the electrical wires during the installation. That is just stupid. I had some bailing wire (can use a coat hangar) and made a small 7" hangar to hold the motor in place while wiring it. Only used about a foot of supplied wires to attach to the electrical. Once its wired can remove the temporary hangar and attach as directed. Installation was easy and would recommend this fan for a small space.

Review dude: Update
- I now have installed 4 of these fans and all have never had an issue with any of them.
Very good budget fan, comparable to fans that cost twice as much at the big box store. Great for bedrooms where you do not need something that looks nice.
Pros
1. This is a very basic fan. It comes with everything you need for a fan and none of the extras they try and sell you at the big box store that get thrown away anyway.
2. Construction is solid
3. Fan is very quiet
4. Fan was easy to install, and directions are easy to follow. This is not true of every fan I have installed so huge plus here
5. It is possible with a if you wire this fan with 14/3 or 12/3 wire to use the 3rd wire to install a speed switch on the wall. I did not do this however
6. There is plenty of space in the ceiling mount to store all the wires and wire nuts. This alone is enough to make me buy this fan again as some fans you have to jam everything in there.
7. My box came with extra screws and such in case you lose stuff
Cons
1. As a budget fan you can see some of the mounting screws. Some of the more expensive fans from the big box stores do better hiding them.

Elie Trichet: Great fan but you would expect it to be better from such a great company. This one is noisy and in the end all you truly want is air flow and quiet rotation. Will not buy again.
