maryanne bauder: This was a very nice story. Kept your interest and moved along nicely. I am enjoying these western books by this author

Dana Sigsbee: I loved the book. It was a bit slow getting to the point, but great book to read. Great job.

Kindle Customer: The blurb mentioned Charlie Rose and Nell as the main storyline, but equal parts were shared with the widow Brenna and the new school teacher Mr Hutton. This diluted the interaction in the story between Nell and Charlie, so they did not engage my attention. For me it was reading about two couples on the sidelines instead of one full story.
The plot was not as up to standard as the first in the series. It all rested on some mysterious stranger and someone who Charlie was running from. They hardly emerged and were quickly disposed of in a couple of brief sentences. I admit to skipping and scanning huge chunks to finish.

Julie Morales: I thought this book was totally fascinating. I love horses, and the info here was interesting. There's a lot here about how wild horses used to be herded, and Nell's gift for communicating with horses was interesting. Rarely was she wrong.
So this book was really two romances in one. We have Nell and Charlie and Brenna and Gregory. Gregory comes to be the new schoolteacher and Charlie is hired on as a ranch hand at Nell and Seth's ranch (Nell and Seth are brother and sister). The author does a pretty good job of weaving two romances together and making them both still pretty good.
I love romance with a bit of suspense, too, and this book delivers on that as well. Charlie comes into town with someone out for blood possibly on his trail. Does he dare pursue his feelings for Nell while still looking over his shoulder, wondering when or if someone will be catching up to him, and what will happen if they do?
I've been reading a lot of books of this type lately, so I guess the fact that they're becoming a bit predictable is my fault, but with that said, this was still good.

J. A. Sutton: Another one I purchased after reading other books by Debra Holland. I have got a bit confused with the two author names which I presume are one and the same as the books follow the same story line. A good read

Sheila Hicks: A really great read. I loved the whole concept , I found it a pleasure to read something with no unnecessary violence and foul language trying to make an impact. The storyline just carried through to the very end , managing to keep your attention as to whether the man would show up. The characters felt like people you knew personally. I have already ready recommended the book to the members of my book club.

Beth Price-Almeida: I knew when I received the book that I would love the story and become wrapped up in the lives of the newest characters that Mrs. Fyffe had created and I did. Caroline Fyffe is my favorite author so I am always excited to read...or re-read her books.
In West Winds of Wyoming, I met Nell Page and Charlie Rose. Honestly, at first I was a little skeptical that I would come to like Nell through the course of the book. She seemed to be a little 'rough', I guess would be the right word. But before I made it into the third chapter, I loved her! She has such a big heart but that heart had seen a lot of tragedy and, like all of us, she wanted to protect herself. No matter how she tried, though, she couldn't help that thoughts of Charlie Rose snuck into her mind at times, more times than she would care to admit, thank you very much!
Charlie Rose had lost his wife and hit the road looking for a safe place to lay low and raise his daughter. A place to hide from some sort of trouble in his past. All he wanted when he happened to come across work at Cotton Ranch was to earn a wage that would allow him to get on his feet and provide his blind daughter a place where she could grow up happy...

AnnieS: I really enjoyed this heartwarming story. I wasn't sure how Maddie would be reunited with her father. It was lovely watching how God worked in the lives of these characters. I have to say that Seth stole my heart with his matchmaking ways!!

diamondgirl: I read this one first and will read the other 2. I did like how the characters sounded in their speech and mannerisms that seemed typical for people in 1882 Wyoming. Their lives seemed simpler then even though they did have their share of drama. Charlie Rose akaTristan Axelrose was trying to keep his little blind daughter, Maggie, safe from a man bent on retaliation for the death of his son when Charlie shot him in self-defense. Nell and her brother Seth are trying to keep their ranch a float selling horses to the Army when Charlie shows up at the ranch looking for work. The other characters like Mrs Brenna Lane and her children; I had a hard time seeing her finding Mr Hutton, the hard-nosed school teacher from PA, attractive when he seemed like a total jerk. He was mean when Penny & Jane baked him a cake as a welcome; then he told Brenna that school isn't supposed to be fun when she had to fill in for him when he got the measles. I thought Charlie would be good for Brenna even though I know Nell was the main love interest. Anyhow we never find out what is causing Seth's hacky cough and I wish there could have been a little more romance with Nell and Charlie but Nell had been...
