Gingy: My 12 yr Pomeranian had become very ill, come to find he had a gallbladder mucocele and had to have emergency surgery to have his gallbladder removed and barely survived. His liver/biliary levels were extreme and would take time to normalize and his digestive system would always be sensitive. I had to search for a new food which meant it needed lower fat, protein and salt content. As he recovered i tried other brands in the weeks following but his normally active appetite had not perked up and even fresh made chicken and veggie recipes were being snubbed. This food caught my eye because it was a reputable brand with quality ingredients and one of the only few which did not have added salt as an ingredient. I was running out of options but hoping he would eat this food. Happy to say the kibble was consumed in the first feeding and his appetite has returned. He loves this food and after 3 months seems to be doing very well. I have switched my other little ones to this brand recently. I do have two negative issues with Wellness: 1) Price, it is expensive but to be fair not any more so than comparable brands. 2) Kibble size, I wish wellness made more toy breed kibble options like...

Jenny VJenny V: My 16 year old mini pin mix has been on this particular senior food for almost 10 years. Wellness has always been known as one of the best holistic, high quality pet food brands around. Ive never had any issues with their pet foods (they offer a huge variety of wet/kibble foods and ive tried a few) Ive even switched off of wellness to try merricks and solid gold (two other really great brands) but she didnt care for the kibbles and lost interest in the wet food. Needless to say, i switched back. Shes a VERY picky girl. Has no issues chewing the kibbles. Her short coat is always smooth, soft and shiny. At 16, shes still so hyper and full of energy. Her mini pin traits still shine. People can never believe her age.

Ive always cared and have tried my best to provide the best quality foods, treats, supplement, etc for my little one. I dont doubt wellness has played a part in her great health after all these years. Pricey, but definitely worth it. Dont know why i never thought about ordering on amazon. So much easier!

Kira L.: For my senior dogs with no or few teeth, I soak dry kibble in water. This brand got very soft when soaked and still held some form, so it wasn't completely broken down. The difference with this kibble is that it helped my dogs poop with softer stool. At times, it may have seem TOO soft, but better than constipation, I suppose. I think I'll use this brand when my dogs have a more difficult time going to the bathroom. There were a lot of crumbs in the bag, which is consistent with the fact that the kibble seems softer than other brands. Quality seemed good, and I definitely see myself buying this brand again.
