Both my dogs are in the in-between area where it is either too big or too small. Very well built tho.

Caitlin S.: I have a 2-year-old lab/pit mix who is 168 lbs. I adopted her a year ago, and it's been a journey to get some discipline instilled. This dog has slipped through 2 collars and broken/ripped SEVEN leashes during walks. (FYI the Kong comfort leash has been the longest-lasting leash so far!)
She would constantly pull during our walks since she was so excited to be out and about, and if any dog barked at us, she would immediately try to run towards it. My boyfriend told me about cinch and prong collars, which I had no idea were even a thing. I tried this out when it arrived last week, and there was an immediate change in her demeanor. It was already the perfect size for my dog, so I didn't need to add/take away any prongs. It was so simple to slip it over her head, buckle it, and attach the Kong leash. All it took was one pull from my dog, and she quickly stopped and slowed down for me. She shows no signs of discomfort, either.
I no longer dread our daily walks, and I'm willing to go longer distances now that she cooperates more! Instead of being dragged around the neighborhood and laughed at by neighbors, we actually walk together like a team now. Do yourself and your pup a...

JonathanJonathan: Overall, this seemed like a sturdy collar. I love that most of it is made out of metal, and even the clasp is metal, and allows for easy attachment and removal. Our lab responded well to this collar and stopped pulling hard on his leash when we took him for walks. Yesterday while we were on our walk, the collar fell off our dogs neck and hit the ground. At first I was confused, because it had never done that, but upon closer inspection, the fabric of the collar had been torn through. This is presumably due to the metal part of the collar it’s wrapped around (see attached picture). It was a great collar while it lasted, but I really wish it lasted longer than 3 weeks.

Kelly: Works okay but not a choker. I need more of a pinch/choke effect to stop my mastiff from pulling.

Shelly M.Shelly M.: Been a dog lover and owner all of my life. I've never liked or needed "prong" type collars - I felt they were inhumane. And then Harvey, my 45lb Pix Mix came along. He was a Hurricane Harvey dog and had lived in the streets his entire 2 years. We hired 2 well respected dog trainers in the Houston area and they both agreed, there were certain behaviors we were not going to break. Pulling and lunging on walks was one of these behaviors. Walks with all of our other dogs turned into a 3 ring circus and were not enjoyable. Choke collars, harnesses, gentle leaders...we tried them all....and failed. I tried this collar as a last resort. He has a 16" neck and we had to remove one of the links of the Type 1 collar for it to fit properly. This really has helped tame his pulling on walks. To the point that I can relax a bit more and enjoy our walks with him. I love the rubber tips on each prong, keeps it from being too harsh, especially on a very short haired dog. They also sent 5 additional rubber tips as replacements if one were to fall off. One week and about 15 walks later, we have yet to lose a rubber tip. I would recommend.

Sandra: My dog is a Lab mixed with a Blue Heeler. She was a terrible puller before and I've tried everything to get her to stop. I bought a Gentle Leader to try out but she has stress induced seizures and nearly had one wearing that (she doesn't like stuff over her muzzle or on her face). This is really the only thing she tolerates that gets her to stop pulling. The product is pretty easy to use, the links come off so it's adjustable. I removed one link from the collar to fit my dog, probably could have done two but she like loose collars, and it's a bit more challenging than I though, but if use a sturdy table to put the collar on the edge and pull down on the link it will come off. I was missing one rubber prong cover, but since I removed a link it's not an issue for me.

Jpassell: My dog Rosie (a red nose pit) is a 60lb bundle of energy. She is a relatively new (3 months +) adoption who came with some issues. This collar is the best of its kind I have found. The links are thicker and heavier than all my prior finds; the protective end caps are excellent, and the combination makes the collar gentler but every bit as affective. It was a near instant solution to Rosie's leash-pulling issues and has been invaluable to addressing her animal -aggression issues. I live in a town (Dover MA) loaded with people who are a tad (TOTALLY) tight"rump"ed about...almost everything...and I have been able to maintain zero incidents. The collar helps me keep Rosie in total control. The collar is now two + months old and is as new. Despite being wet ( in both fresh and salt water) as often as it has been dry, the chroming on the links remains immaculate, the fabric perfect with no fraying, and even the color unfaded. It took a few minutes with vice-grips to remove a link and fit the collar to Rosie's 23" neck but it now fits perfectly. The collar was delivered on Prime and on time...and best of all the price was competitive with anything EBay and Wal Mart.com (I checked)....
