I think it is because of the hot water. I hope this one last a little longer.

Kelly: The product is not long lasting and is just one month, the item is stripped. This is quite an expensive one but only last for one month which is so disappointed.

Reverend: Update: About a year after purchase the diverter valve has started leaking.
Using the regular faucet on high will cause a slight drip from our water filter. Switching it to the hose for the water filter and the faucet will still have a smaller than a pencil stream.
Was not like this when purchased.

Install went smoothly after figuring out the right thickness of rubber washer for our sink.
Valve was easy to move by hand.

D. Rowe: I read other reviews before buying this diverter, and a number of them indicated difficulty installing it without leaks. Having plumbing experience, I figured that would not be a problem for me. I was mistaken. The valve came with a washer inside, plus an additional washer. I first tried it with the one already in it, but on my sink there are only a few threads exposed to screw the valve onto, and the single washer wasn't thick enough to fill the gap so it leaked and was loose. I figured the extra washer was provided to solve that problem, so I put it inside the valve on top of the other one. Now there were not enough threads left exposed in the valve to get it caught and started onto my faucet. So I removed both washers and just put in the extra one, but it was about the same thickness as the other one and leaked as before. It seemed I needed 1 normal washer and another one about 1/2 the thickness, but I didn't have that. I bought this to replace the original plunger-type diverter that came with my water filter, so I looked inside my old one to see what kind of washer was in there. Instead of a washer it had an O-ring, so I removed it from the old one, put it in the new one, and...

Brian S. Parker: ok, bought this even tho some of the technical specs were lacking and got very lucky.. I will now pass on what I found out (along with a general review),
First, this DOES fit a faucet with 55/64 27 threads male, it just screws on, no need to use the included adapter unless your faucet requires a male end (just threads).. be sure to use the washer or it will leak and tighten it properly.
as for the part where the hose attaches for the water diversion, this is what is a big confusing point on this listing.. as it should read what the inner diameter of tube it takes to fit on the nipple snugly as well as what outer diameter of the tube is needed as well, since it has a screw on piece to clamp it down.. you need to use 1/4" OUTER DIAMETER (or very close) hosing to use this with the screw on piece. I used a hosing of ID .170" x OD 1/4" and it fit perfectly, able to snugly fit through the screw on cap to the nipple and be secured without any leaks. I am sure if you ditch the cap, you could use other tubing and just use a small hose clamp as well... but I wanted to give you at least something that works without leaking to go on...
The arm to divert the water is VERY...

Lord of the butters: I bought this two years ago, and it served me well but recently the lever came off, and I had to get a new one. This is a solid / good quality diverter, so I think that if it can last two years of constant use, then it's a good buy.
If your lever comes off, you can put it back in with some Teflon / PTFE plumber's tape, and it will hold up pretty well until your replacement arrives. It's held in place by two rubber rings which I suppose will inevitably wear after much use, and then using the filter will push the lever out due to the pressure.
