Tina Castleberry: We have a Pfister shower only faucet assembly that was purchased from Lowe’s in 2019. It started to drip so my husband went to replace the cartridge but the only replacement part Lowe’s had did not fit. The reason the cartridge that Lowe’s sold wouldn’t fit was because Pfister changed the design to oval screens instead of round like was on ours. This part will fit both, it has an adapter that makes it work for the new oval style but that adapter piece pops off if you have the old round style. New part works great, thanks Amazon for having what we need.

Rey Joseph Buzon: Like previous reviews I had difficulty finding Pfister item 51123-0100 online and began my project using the 974-042 available at Home Depot after the Pfister customer service line had closed for the evening. Unfortunately the oval end did not match the circular end and was causing a leak when I turned on my shower. The next morning I called Pfister and they advised that the model number has changed to this 974-5319. I ordered this after seeing others had the same issue and was ecstatic when this turned out to be a perfect fit. The instructions included showed me I could take off the end so I would have the matching part I needed. Long story short, this is the perfect replacement if you need to replace the Pfister 51123-0100!

Makz I.Makz I.: This product Pfister 9743210 was ordered as a replacement for the older model Pfister 9740420, which is still on sale. This product is as good as the old one in terms of functionality, quality is good from first sight. Fit is excellent. Movement is smooth. I noticed a very little bit less movement range for the handle with the newer model. The newer model is cheaper than the old one, so it is recommended, as it will be purchased again with the necessity.

Grant WarkentinGrant Warkentin: Worked perfectly to replace an old 2-part cartridge that’s no longer available (bottom in photo versus new part on top). Fast, free shipping and part is at least as good quality as the one being replaced after 10 years.

BEWARE: if you don’t make a perfect seal when you put this part in the fitting, pull it out and make sure the two rubber seals at the end are properly in place and try again. Otherwise you will get dripping issues immediately or later. Also make sure you install it so the hot and cold feeds are properly lined up.
