D. French: I do a great amount of baking and use lots of vanilla extract. This is definitely a bargain and is far better in taste then many I have bought in the store.

MARCIA C.: I used Watkins vanilla for years. I've tried other more expensive brands but kept coming back to Watkins, because it has the best flavor. Now, probably because of the price, Watkins is selling Baking vanilla--it's just not the same. Would love to buy this in a larger bottle.

Amazon Customer: Years ago I purchased a vanilla product from a farmers market that was really good. Couldn't find it ever again. I have used Watkin's red lineament in the past as a bracer and knew that Watkins was a product that has been around since after the 1800's or there about. So I tried the vanilla and was very impressed and pleased not only with with the clear taste out of the bottle but also how it reflected in what I had prepared! Yes will buy it again. Good stuff!!!

Anissa: I bought watkins rootbeer extract that is natural flavors, Zatarain's, and Shanks. All 3 were good. Shanks tastes more like rootbeer soda than Zatarain's. Watkins rootbeer extract blew them both out of the water. It's about 3-4x more potent than both of them, natural flavors, and to me it tastes more like actual rootbeer than the other two. On top of that, when you calculate the potency, it's actually cheaper than Zatarains and Shanks. As an added bonus, Watkins is clear so there are no colorings or other unhealthy ingredients like the other two.
My wife and I buy club soda from the store, put a dash of pure stevia powder bought on Amazon, and use this extract and it tastes just like the Zevia rootbeer you buy from Walmart. Delicious.

VALHALLALAND: Of course July was strawberry month, and I made several strawberry inclusive cakes. But you can't always put fresh strawberries into every element of a cake - so I would use this extract in the cake batter with a little pink gel food colouring - or in the buttercream, meringue or mascarpone/whipped cream frostings - and then use fresh strawberries in the filling between the layers and as garnish on the top of the cake. I wondered if this extract might taste weird beside real strawberries, but it does not. It absolutely tastes like strawberries and complements real strawberry elements in a dessert. On my second bottle already.
