It doesn't track, there's no dust and the odor control is phenomenal. It's a much different scooping experience compared to clay litter. First you scoop out solid waste which is really easy as the pellets draw all the moisture out rather quickly resulting in a clean an unsmelly scoop. Compared to clay litters, scooping this stuff is sort of the opposite, while clay forms hard lumps as it gets wet. These pellets disintegrate into a texture like ground coffee, so you push the top layer of intact pellets to one side of the litter box and scoop out the broken down stuff underneath and then repeat for the other side of the litter box. It doesn't stick to the box and scoops out so easily. Bonus it's much more lightweight which is particularly helpful if you have multiple cat boxes in a basement to haul waste from.

AnnleyAnnley: I've tried Pretty Litter, and some other clay litters and they were definitely not for me. Those litters (even Pretty Litter) would mess up my throat because of the dust, but this litter genuinely has little to no dust.
I personally like to be able to see the litter, especially when it's tracked on the ground (it's a dirt color essentially) but that's my personal preference
It clumps urine and feces better than any other litter I've used as well, so it's really easy cleaning out the litter box. It's also softer, which took some getting used to for my cat, so I had to add her previous litter to this litter to allow her to feel more comfortable, but she uses this litter just fine by itself now, but it's just something to keep in mind.
I got a 26 pound bag for about 20 bucks, which has saved me a lot of money, since it lasts way longer! And I got the litter for multiple cats, and it has reduced odor a lot better than other litter
Overall, I highly recommend this litter, but every cat is different, so it may be a hit or miss whether your fur baby likes it or not.
Happy shopping and good luck!

Brenda flores: Funciona bien, si tienes gatos con mucho pelo no lo recomiendo porque se les pega en el pelaje

A.: I've tried out 6 or 7 cat litters since I adopted my cat two years ago. My cat used every one of them no problem - it was me who was really picky. Most tracked too much. She played with sandy litter. I'm allergic to dust (and she might be too). I wanted low tracking, unscented, low dust, lower risk of mycotoxins or other breathing hazards, and wouldn't turn the litter into a fun sandbox toy. This is the litter that I decided to stick with long-term.
Cons: This litter still tracks a bit (not as much as the others), and it's hard to keep track of changes in urine (e.g. blood) because of dark coffee-like colour, can't yet recycle the packaging.
Pros: Great for controlling smell, clumps really well, sustainable, lasts a long time, my cat approves of it but doesn't play in it, doesn't track litter all over the house... Best litter we've tried!

Nadya: I had 4 kittens & was learning all about how to care for them-they were only a lil over a month old!! Got this litter after realizing that small kittens should start off with pellets first because they can try to consume sandy litter (which they did try to do!) Immediately I came across this litter. Been using it for almost 2months now. This was a more natural & safer option for sure! The 26lb bag is soo big I couldn’t even carry it on my own at first! So worth the price for the quantity!! Also love that it’s all natural!! I feel so good knowing that. Oddly enough I really love the smell of it too lol. It definitely has an earthy aroma like many others mentioned. And it’s very easy to clean up compared to other litter- doesn’t track. It lasts a long time too! As a pregnant woman right now I usually have to end up cleaning my kittens litter boxes.. well I love that it masks the smell pretty good (when my kitties do good covering their poo) and it really does reduce the ammonia ! At first it was a little difficult to clean but then I learned that I just have to scoop out the poop-and if there’s parts that look dark (because of their urine) I scoop that out too....

rhino823: Tracking: I adopted two cats and had no idea how much litter tracked. I have yet to find one that doesn't. I don't feel a zero tracking litter is even possible. I tried pine pellets, but one of my cats is declawed (by previous owner) and I found he was willing to use the other two boxes where I had a sawdust-type litter and this walnut litter. I noticed he preferred the walnut litter and stopped using the other two completely. Same goes for my second cat. The pine pellets were large and I'd find a few outside of the litter box but never found them in my bed. I've found that if I keep the bottom of my cats paws scissored (they have very long hairy paws) they track less. I can't get either of them to use a top entry box. That would definately help. This stuff tracks and tracks and tracks. I find it everywhere. But I've found that to be true with all other litters so I remind myself that this is safe for them, sustainable, and compostable so it will remain my first choice.
Dust: I've used so many different litters over my lifetime. They are all dusty. All of them. I don't find it "covers" anything anymore than regular 'ol dust in my house. I give everything a quick swipe every...

Prairieboy: After 40+ years of owning cats, from a kid to an adult with kids, I have to say I wish I would have found, & been willing to try, this product much, much sooner!
Over the years we have used nearly every litter on the market:
- regular clay litter (almost anything is better),
- shredded paper (just don't)
- clumping clay (many, many varieties & brands, some pretty darn good, & while some are a little better, all are dusty to some extent). This was always the fall-back-to product when our other (no longer used) preferred products were unavailable but we always sought something better because of the dust & need to clean the box more frequently to prevent odors or nasty solid one-chunk boxes (if forgotten or put off).
- pine (tried once, that was enough)
- wheat based (not bad, still dusty but tended to leave a "musty" smell). Tried couple of brands, always similar.
- alfalfa pellets (ie rabbit feed). Less tracking but very, very musty odor.
- corn based (this was our previous favorite until we couldn't get our favorite brand -- $pecial Kitt* -- anymore). Tried three brands, some are still available but there are differences in dust levels,...

Lesley N.: I keep three litter boxes.
Whichever one has this litter in it…that is the “outhouse” of choice!!!
I swear they cannot wait fur me to scoop it, so they can jump back in and mess it up again!
