LUPITA MORALES HERNANDEZ: Fue un obsequio para mi mamá a quien por ser una persona mayor le gusta escuchar estaciones de AM por lo que le es funcional, el hecho de poder bajar la intensidad de la luz al reloj es maravilloso y la luz proyectada en el techo para que se pueda ver la hora sin tener que voltear a ver el reloj es un plus para las personas mayores.

Luis Valdés: Lo compré para remplazar a mi Sony ICF-C1PJ que comenzó a tener falsos contactos con los botones y ya era imposible de operar; sólo me duró 2 años y medio. Pésima compra, pero me gustaba mucho la función de proyectar la hora en la pared, algo que este también hace por la mitad del precio y, además, tiene termómetro ambiental; básicamente hace todo (y más) que lo que mi anterior despertador hacía por menos de la mitad de precio. Leí alguna crítica por ahí sobre la cercanía de botones de apagado y snooze (lo cuál puede ser peligroso), pero creo que es exagerada. Es verdad que están juntos, pero el botón de snooze es algo así como 5 veces más grande como para "confundirte", aún estando muy dormido. La pantalla brilla en su totalidad, pero poniendo el ajuste más bajo, no molesta para nada durante la noche y suena suficientemente fuerte como para despertar a quien sea.

Jimmy Bells: This is a very nice alarm clock. Dual alarm, auto set, projection display, different brightness levels, small learning curve but pretty intuitive overall. It actually has an AM and FM antenna attached. Although it looks a little sloppy in the back because of the short wires, the radio sounds much clearer than other clock radios. Today is the first day of Daylight Savings Time, and it handled it like a champ (i woke up to the correct time - lol).

Rather than go over what's great about it, I'll say it's great and just point out areas that could have been better.

First and foremost, although this clock includes a battery back up, which is great should you have occasional power outages, the company failed to realize that there should be some indication as to when the battery needs to be replaced. It does not. I even called the company directly to ask about it. The nice woman said "nobody ever asked that before". After a brief hold to speak with a technician, she returned to confirm there is in fact no indication on the clock as to when the battery needs to be replaced. Also, be advised this is NOT a rechargeable battery, but CR 2032 cell type...

Bob: For the price, this is a pretty darn good alarm clock radio.

First the cons:

- The smooth shiny plastic gives it a sort of cheap appearance, but it seems durable enough.

- Some of the reviewers complained that the speaker isn't good quality. I'd say that's not entirely accurate. The sound is quite clear also but somewhat penetrating. My complaint is with the volume levels that are available. You can select 0 for off, or 1-10 for loudness. The problem with 1 is that it's too loud. 1 is the lowest volume level and yet it's loud enough to be a 4 or 5. If you're like most people you keep your clock radio within 6 feet of your bed. Volume level 1 if fine for waking up to music, but if you like to fall asleep to music, you'll probably find even the lowest volume level too loud.

- You'll need to keep the instruction manual handy. Whatever you do DON'T LOSE IT!!! Setting this thing is a piece of cake when you have the instructions, but without them it would be quite difficult.

- They used a blue backlight, which is too bright at night, even on the lowest setting. Luckily you can turn this off completely and just use the red projection...

DragonWench: Recently, my clock radio, an Emerson SmartSet, decided to crap out on me after only five years or so. (The alarm function and radio stopped working, although, weirdly, the clock part still kept time, and on battery back-up, the alarm would still go off. I still can't quite figure that one out.) I thought about trying to play around with the Emerson, to see if I could fix it, but I just didn't feel up to it, so I went shopping and found this Magnasonic. I was really excited because it fit all the criteria I was looking for: it was a clock radio, not just an alarm clock; it had a dual alarm system; and the clock sets automatically as soon as it's plugged in. Plus, it has two other features that are just plain nice to have: it has a sensor that registers the room temperature, and it projects the time onto the ceiling/wall so I don't even have to raise my head from my pillow to see what time it is.

I'll admit, it took a bit of time for me to figure out how to work this clock radio, for the mere fact that it's completely different from any I've owned previously. Not only because of the extra functions/features, but also because it's so sleek and...
