Wake Up Easily with Sonic Alert's Extra-Loud Alarm Clock for Heavy Sleepers - Featuring a Large Digital Display and Snooze Button

Albert Nadjarian: I'm not one to write a reviews but this one is special. As a heavy sleeper who easily gets used to/sleeps through cell phone alarms, I bought this alarm clock out of desperation so I could wake up through the ridiculous studying hours of grad/med school. I have never looked back.

PROS:
1) This little shaking gizmo stays right underneath my pillow, and it WAKES THE DEAD. There is no way you can sleep through this. It is literally death proof.
2) It's focal enough of a rumble that your partner doesn't immediately wake up (they will eventually though, sooooooo turn it off lol).
3) On the one in a billion chance that the shaker doesn't get you up, the LOUDEST (customizable tone) ALARM BEEPING NOISE IN THE HISTORY OF ALARM CLOCKS will most certainly do the trick. Although this feature has been turned off for many years as it was wholly unnecessary.
4) Big screen for the time, can see it from anywhere. Win.

CONS:
1) The battery slot doesn't work anymore. I guess that's what happens after over a decade of use. :: shrug :: so I have a backup external battery just in case the power goes out.
2) Adjusting the time/alarm numbers gets bit...

R B: Ever had a morning which you were soooo tired and couldnt get out of bed?? couldnt make it to work?
Well, this alarm wont allow you to miss anything....! It has a high volume which usually wakes everyone. It also has the vibrating part that if you put it on your bed you'll get a massage that will throw you out of bed. (at least for me.. as Im extremely ticklish)
You can even put the vibrator down on the floor and your entire house will shake! Giving you no option just to get out of bed to turn it off before the neighbor from downstairs calls for help 😅
So if you are looking for an alarm that works look no further you found the right one. Just make sure to go to sleep early as you wont be able to sleep after the alarm rings....

Cliente de Amazon: Llevaba años buscando un despertador o forma de despertarme. Este despertador ha sido la gran solución al problema que tenía de levantarme temprano, y hoy en día ya ni si quiera lo ocupo a diario, ya me despierto antes que suene, no a diario, pero es un gran avance para mí.
Es súper fácil de usar, y funciona excelente.

Thomas: Bought this a while ago for my HOH son. Without his hearing aids he can hear very, very little. Unless you feel like yelling he won't hear you. Anyways this clock is loud and the vibrator works very well. It can be heard around the house and the vibration wakes up my son.

Kristen and Lois: I'm not blind, or deaf, but still this alarm clock has been a huge lifesaver for me. For years, I have been sleeping through normal alarms. Most alarms designed for "hard to wake" sleepers seem to focus on preventing you from pressing snooze, or emitting even louder or obnoxious sounds. Neither design worked for me, as my main problem was not pressing snooze, but sleeping through the beeping, no matter how loud or annoying it was. I once slept through an alarm that was beeping for over an hour. Before this alarm, the only reliable way for me to wake up was to have someone else nearby who would wake up to the beeping and shout my name at me. This solution was not enjoyable for whoever else was nearby.

I was skeptical that the buzzing/vibrating would actually wake me up on its own, but it does. I don't even need to put on the sound. This is wonderful because I can set an early alarm without feeling guilty about waking up my roommates. I also don't have to worry about sleeping through the alarm, unless I turn it off and then fall back asleep... but no alarm can prevent that! The sound, when I have used it, is extremely loud and effective as well. It's nice...

PattyT: I am hearing impaired and, when I started using these Sonic Alert clocks, I could hear the alarm just fine when I set the tone to the lower end. My hearing loss has progressed to the point where I barely hear the alarm but the bed shaker wakes me up every time. I have owned several different Sonic Alert clocks because, despite all the good things about them, they break easily. I buy one per year! This particular one is a basic clock with a good dimmer switch so you can have big bright numbers or dim ones. It comes with a battery backup in case there is a power outage and the alarm has a variable tone. That is VERY important to people with hearing loss because often, we lose either our high pitches or low ones. I lost all my high pitches so I can't hear a microwave oven, a bird chirp, cat meow, or even a store theft alarm. It's just gone. Having the tone be variable, I can set the alarm to the tones I can hear which are on the low end. The alarm is loud, VERY loud, for those who aren't hearing impaired. It was even loud for me five years ago but as time passed, I lost more of my ability to hear unfortunately.

The saving grace on this clock is the bed...

Brittany: Was in need of a new alarm clock and tried this one. Met my expectations for sure! I can't hear anything at night and am happy with this alarm clock.

Pros:
It has a slim feel to it.
The display size is definitely huge. My clock is the first thing I see when I enter my room now lol.
The vibrator is big and works very well at waking me up when placed under mattress.
Controls are easy to use.
Has a test mode if you want to adjust the alarm volume/pitch or try out the vibrator.

Cons:
The stand could be improved on... it kind of makes the clock a little wobbly. Not really an issue but seems like you can accidently knock it over if you're half asleep trying to hit that snooze button.

only has one alarm setting.

Update: It's been 5 years and still using this wonderful alarm clock. No issues with it. Does a great job waking me up. :)
