Mikenzie: I got this for my pet first aid kit. The first step in treating abrasions and hotspots is the shave the area. It's compact and cordless so I can take it with me when we go camping. I've only used it twice so far but it works great. It isn't too noisy and it doesn't pull the hair. It also comes with a little bag for storage as well as a few attachments. It's probably too small to do a full body trim ( unless you and your dog have a lot of patience) but for little touch ups it works well.

Barbie: Good little trimmer. I use it the shave my hairless Chinese Crested dog, so the little growth isn't too much to trim. It fits perfectly in my hand. Fairly quiet as to not scare the dog. You have to take the battery out after each use because the switch is easily turned on. Don't think it would have the power to cut thick hair.

Rapps: This has worked very well, I have had no problem with it not cutting hairs.
Update: I returned the first one I got as it acts as if the battery is dead, except it was a freashen new battery. This happens within 90 seconds. Amazon was excellent about the return/replacement with a second clipper. Got the second clipper, same thing. I have a this brand new little clipper that I can't use. It dies within the 90 seconds just like the first one. I haven't been able to trim the dogs paws or his bumm. I'm assuming at this point I'm stuck with it as the second one arrived in Oct. And it's likely too long ago to return it. Don't buy this, spend the bigger bucks and get a better not cheap mini clipper.

Renée R: It's actually pretty cheap. But then so is the cost. It stopped working after a few uses and did NOT work on my cat. So my son adopted it to shave with. If you knock it around a little bit it will come to life long enough to shear an upper lip! Seems to have a mind of its own!

Bpositive: I purchased this clipper to use for clipping matts out of my elderly long-haired cat's fur. I like its compact size. It is small and compact enough that it's easy to store and pull out for just a quick touchup. The clipper sound did not bother my cat at all. And, it did a much better job of blending the hair around the clipped area. It even comes with a spare set of blades. So far, this item seems well worth the money!
