Adam Steffy: Very hard, but also very hard to use on a large surface. Very viscus and a lot of trouble self leveling. Retained a lot of air bubbles and needed 3 passes with the torch 30 mins apart. Still, the finish product is good if you can get it to self level.

Kevin: I was looking to find a new resin after getting a bad batch of product from my usual provider. I decided to try this one because it's inexpensive and because I need a longer worktime for casting my items. The cure time is longer than most, but it's *almost* scratch resistant already after 36h. I use a pressure pot and it came out virtually bubble-free! One part is very thin and the other is very thick, but once they are combined, the viscosity is pretty perfect either for mold-casting (as I do) or surface coating; thin enough, yet thick enough to have some control over the flow. I used to use a much more expensive and toxic resin, but I think I'll be switching since this worked so well for a fraction of the price. I only wish there was a bigger quantity available, but that's the only downside to it. Highly highly recommend!!

Happy Customer: This stuff is awesome. I have never used epoxy in my life and needed to repair a carbon fiber tail piece on my Tesla. Watched YouTube and followed the directions.... and the repair is the only PERFECT repair I have ever done. Was going to purchase new part... but did this instead! Love the stuff!!

RobertRobert: Just mixed up 250g of one and 500g of the other (mixer fixer ) and coated a concrete fountain I made last year. I’ll have more to say when I see some results tomorrow. I’m thinking it will dry faster as the concrete will act as a wick.

It’s been a while it is a terrific product. My fountain has overwintered and it still looks like new. I got a perfect effect with the water adhesive properties. I tried another product “ArtResin” also available on Amazon. There’s no comparison vivid excels

I am happy with the product. They only suggestion I have is to make it easier to mix up smaller amounts with accuracy. I used a kitchen scale which helped. I must have gotten it right cause it dried crystal hard. The water feature I made stand a vertical 4.5 feet tall. It was a very hot day and by applying it at the top and brushing it as it moved down I got good coverage. Concrete is porous so that also helped with the downward fluidity. If I have projects that require this sort of finish I’ll definitely buy it again.

Star: UPDATE DECEMBER 2020: This used to cost $40 and they raised it to $115. It is not worth the price for the size. I have had to find another. Its really too bad they would take advantage during a pandemic.

UPDATE: I have ordered this epoxy 5 times and have been happy every single time. As long as you follow the directions it has always worked for me. It will produce more bubbles when cold so its best to warm up a little but if its too hot then it cures way too fast so you have to find the balance. I tried a different epoxy resin from another company and I hated it! VVivid Epoxy will be my go to for all future crafts. It dries much faster and is much easier to work with.

ORIGINAL: This was the first epoxy resin I ever tried for crafting and I am very happy. No scent, easy to use, simple directions. I can remove my small pyramids after about 6-8 hours drying and my large ones as soon as 12 hours. In unfavorable weather conditions 24 hours is best. I Would recommend for crafters!

Arcygenical: If you mix this epoxy thoroughly, aka with a whisk/blending drill attachment, in the proper 2:1 ratio (I use volume), this epoxy sets diamond hard after 36hrs. Be warned, even after 24-30hrs, the surface will imprint with enough weight, even though it appears sold. Wait the full 36hrs @ room temperature. Likely longer in colder temperatures.

It takes mica and colouring very well. It polishes very well with jewellers rouge and hard paste wax. Autolevels somewhat at 0% dilution, much better with a bit of acetone. I had perfect autoleveling @ 18c with 4% vol acetone.

It will still solidify with up to 10% (volume) acetone as an additive, though more degassing is necessary, unless you have very, very good pouring practices. As this thins the mixture, it allows more air into the mix. The maximum size casting I've made with this epoxy is around 25mm cubed, though I did modify the ratio to include around 10% more hardener. I'm assuming this will mess with brittleness.

Oh, and it's optically clear. Setting in EL wire and fibre optics, you might want some refractory additive, pearl white mica works for me. I've put up to 300mw of RGB laser into a small section (around 1...

John P.: Item was advertised as a hard coat and i was very pleased when it turned out to deliver a epoxy hard surface. Material is extremely thick so needed to warm it up for proper mixing and application. I am happy with the product and early performance. It's use is best suited for small projects requiring short work time and not a need for great self leveling.

Champ04: This stuff is easy to mix, even in small quantities. I am able to mix about 30cc total by weight or volume and not worry about the mix not kicking because I was slightly off. I'm getting almost 90 minutes of pot life for this quantity. So it's definitely not a "quick" mix. Viscosity is on the high side but workable. Final product is extremely clear and transparent. Hardness is excellent and relatively scratch resistant though this does make it brittle. Degassing takes a long time because of viscosity. I recommend degassing parts separately before mixing and in a shallow, large surface area vessel. Bubbles that result from mixing are easy to remove with a heat gun and the longish pot life helps in this regard. Overall I'm pleased with the product and will most likely use it again.

Amazon Customer: The epoxy works really well. I have used it for two projects so far (and have another two on the go, just waiting for more to epoxy). The epoxy hardens extremely well and is very workable. I used it to make a side table, and ran it though a planer to help level it with no issue. Works as well, if not better, than the more expensive options out there.
I did have an issue with an order once. I received three of the same bottles (all hardener). As you can guess, this was a bit of an annoyance to find out after pouring onto a project. However, I called them and they were very helpful. Mathew took time to listen to me, asked intelligent questions (they had to make sure I didn't just mess up), and come yup with a favorable solution. I was pleased with my interactions with them, and was treated like an actual person.
I will be using this stuff as long as they keep selling it.

Mermaid of the Forest, LLCMermaid of the Forest, LLC: I really loved this product as I was looking for an epoxy that had a decent hardness factor in order to make jewelry pieces as other epoxies were too soft and scratched or scuffed way too easily. First time using this, I was delighted at how hard this resin cured. You could tell the difference immediately just from touch. It dried perfectly hard clear and I couldn’t be happier with this product… Except for the price. The only reason this product did not get five stars like it deserves was simply due to the higher cost.
