Terrible assembly instructions and video.
Bed could not be adjusted properly.
Auto leveling is pointless as it's way off each time.
Returned for an ender 3 pro.

Brandon G.: This is my second 3D printer and by far my favorite! Set up to roughly an hour but I feel confident I could have done it in half the time. After reading negative reviews of determine there's a lot of people buying this who are new to 3D printing. I would say 90% of the problems I've read or leveling problems that has nothing to do with the printer that has everything to do with properly leveling your bed. I recommend a leveling tool instead of the paper. If you have uneven Prints or you're not getting adhesion it's a leveling problem and if you properly level it and it's grinding on top it's your z offset. Z offset and leveling kind of go hand in hand I've noticed even if it's perfectly level if the z offset is off The print won't come out right. But the printer itself is perfect! I have printed with pla Plus, abs plastic, p e t g and TPU and so far everything's come out perfect. I'm currently printing a pair of 3D shoes as we speak! The only problem is I had to replace my hot in a while back and they charged me $25 for shipping even though they said they ship within the US. So no stars for customer service who were unwilling to refund me my shipping but the...

jimi groves: Great price and great reviews from many people before I bought it. Got it and not hard to put together little bit of a learning curve but not so bad for an old man like me. Print quality is good seems to print better of standard than superior. Can't figure that one out yet.

The printer is very good. I saw the reviews about not being a printer for beginners and I strongly disagree. Complete newby here
Assembled it with the help of my 11 yo daughter within an hour. No complications at all. Just follow the instructions step by step. The prints are perfect from the start. It's already paying for itself. I use Cura with the Ender 3 settings. So far, so good. I got the N32 chip btw. Happy with the new hobby 😉

A really great printer, especially at the price point. Only other printer I have found with a 300 degree hot end is the Creality S1 pro at about $500. The Aquila took about 2 hours to put together and printed perfectly right from the start. I print a lot of prototypes/functional parts so need the 300 degree hot end. Couple of problems though, and solutions.
1) No resume if power failure. I live in a very remote are of the Nevada mountains and have frequent power "blips"--electric will cut out for a few seconds. Solved this with a relatively inexpensive UPS. Will keep the printer going for around 10 minutes if the power goes out.
2) Biggest problem: the hot end and nozzles are proprietary. They are not available anywhere except from Voxelab. And, Voxelab at the moment only makes brass nozzles for the printer. This is a big problem for me as I print polycarbonate and nylon with glass or CF frequently. I solved this by buying volcano hardened steel nozzles and milling them down to the same size as the Aquila S2 nozzles. A PIA but it works. Voxelab told me they were working on producing hardened nozzles, but I have not seen them for sale yet. ALSO, the...

Larry J Manson: I've printed almost every day for over 2 months and it runs like a champ! (Knock on wood!)
Assembly was a challenge. Even though I had used and worked on 3D printers I had never actually put one all the way together. The instructions were so-so. The videos were so-so. The company's video had a person with a black shirt assembling black parts in front of his shirt. Videos loved to show how quickly a person could put it together; not really helpful as I might have to watch multiple times. I am an engineer. I've worked on aircraft repair, rebuilt engines, and fixed and designed appliances. Therefore I might be a might over-critical.
I bought this at Amazon because of the 30 day return policy. During assembly, I was tempted, but once together I am happy.
Perfect, by no means.
I like that it has a proprietary slicer with it and I don't have to depend on someone else's slicer. It has some other proprietary parts that I will not be so happy about when I eventually have to replace them.
At the $200 I paid including tax at the time it was a bargain.
