RGV Bert: I have a couple of rooms that always build up moisture and then the smell kicks in. I have attached the fan to a filter which is a recommended use. It uses minimal power and is very quiet. Plenty of practical uses for this fan.

Amazon Customer: I used this fan to vent dead air space behind my fireplace. It pumps out 25-35 degree Celsius air into my basement. It’s not too loud and works well. When and if it fails, I’ll buy another. Good value

Stephen: I use it to exhaust the fumes from my laser engraver. Worked extremely well for a while. I replaced it with a more powerful unit. I did notice during replacment the fan was heavily coated with debris from the engraver. I am confident this contributed to the reduced effectiveness of the fan. I now use it in conjuction with the new fan to augment the long exhaust path out of the workshop.

Jeremy M.: This was the perfect solution for me. I glue a lot of plastic and started to notice I was getting a little too high from the glue fumes in my garage. I built a little fume hood and used this fan to vent the fumes outside. Gluing is not quite as fun now but my lungs are thanking me. It works great, its not too noisy and its very simple to install. SInce it already has an Edison plug, no wiring is required. Just plug it into the wall and go.

Faith: I really debated on four or five stars. I can't give it two stars since I'm using it as a bathroom fan (not it's intended purpose). I noticed the fan really chokes down if you restrict the inlet at all. But chokes less if you restrict the outlet, so I put my back draft door on the outlet. It is certainly quiet and has a much more pleasing tone than the $150 garbage bath fans you get from the depot.' This fan seems to be well constructed with good bearings, well balanced and the wired plug is a nice thing to have...... fits 4" duct reasonably well.... a great mounting bracket.

In all, for MY purpose it's meh, but again, it's intended to be an HVAC fan so I can't give it too hard a time. The price is less than the depot fan and I still think it moves double the air of a depot fan, just not 200cfm in my application.

FLRHCARRFLRHCARR: The media could not be loaded.  In making this next generation gaming computer, with an 8 gig Radeon video card among other things, the blowing or ambient heat from the computer is enough to heat a small room. I can & have used it in the winter to do that. Well, I was running something, & it was on over night.

In the summer, I want to expel this heat so I can stand to be in there, gaming. Trying to get the right CFM to noise ratio can be difficult in a computer environment, in a small room. Mainly home based. This extractor from VivoSun is a great one.

It's not quiet, & sometimes I can't wait to turn it off, but it pulls out the heat like I want it to, well, enough to keep the temps nice. Generally, the CPU's radiator will get up to about 107°F-113°F (42-45°C ) with this 195 CFM fan bringing it to (32°C-37°C) 89.6°F-98.6°F & it's pulling most of that heat out the window.
I included a snap of some general video editing temps with out the VivoSun, & the bottom one is after it got going. The temps dropped in about a minute, which is super fast! When I "forget" to turn it on, & the computer gets up to about 45°C, it takes the...

The seller saw this review and immediately contacted me and offered a refund, no strings attached. Many sellers want people to change their review before refunding, that wasn't the case here. I really appreciate this proactive approach to problems. With any electro-mechanical device things can go wrong, it happens and while not a lot of fun it means a lot when a seller stands behind their product like this. As such I can easily give this 5-stars based on the fan and service combined.

So far I'm impressed with the blower. It runs quiet, in fact I can't hear it over the three grow light fans, more below.

Set up takes a little bit of thought before starting and then a little creativeness to make it sit and work properly. Most of the time I spent was running the 4" ducting from the grow tent to the fan and then from the fan to an outside vent which is where I want the air vented for now.

► The footing has two screw holes on either side which helps. These will be used later when I make the installation permanent but at the present I still need to make some changes so the tent can be set up and not need to be moved later. For now I have it...
