magnolia127: I love in an older home and we decided to stack our W/D. We didn't want to drill another hole in my the brick and needed a long vent to reach from the new location to the original vent. This was the length needed to complete job. We had enough to hang and route the way we needed.

H Tokunaga: I installed this tube under my house in my crawlspace. It is very well made -it came in a box about 24 inches long and it extended smoothly as I tried to fully extend it all the way before cutting off the excess. Excellent product!

Kevin Man: All my friends have really neat four-wheel-drive vehicles. They can climb hills, go through mud, and even go through rivers with the engine underwater. My truck is not well equipped but I wanted to show up my friends. I attached one end of this to my intake manifold and the other end to floats. I thought I would drive in really deep water to impress them. The next time we got together at the lake, I told him to watch me as I drove into the lake. The system worked great but I didn’t consider that I needed to breathe and had to leave my jeep on the bottom of the lake. By the time I got scuba gear and went back to my jeep, water had seeped in and flooded my engine. While my jeep is getting fixed I have to drive my mothers Prius. But it got me to thinking. Submarines are diesel / electric so perhaps this will work better than on my jeep. I just hope it comes out OK or my mother will kill me.

Atl Canuck: The aluminum is thin and care needs to be taken in attachment to the dryer. However, it worked and is installed. Keep in mind that most dryers have a 4" outlet pipe and this is a 4" pipe. It was a bit of a chore to attach to the dryer.......slight inconvenience.

Fred Deneault: Bought it to install on a 4" vent and I had really hard times to make it fit. I suspect it to be a bit smaller than 4". Could not return it as it was already cut.

I'd advise you to try it BEFORE you cut it and make sure it fits with your project.

BlondieSL: I just now installed this on our dryer. It is very long, so I was able to cut it to the length I needed and have some left over to replace it as it wears out.
Caution needs to be taken when putting on these metal clamps.
As they are metal and will cross over a wire or two (the spring wire), it WILL TEAR the aluminum!
I don't think this can be avoided with any of these aluminum hoses/pipes.
So it might be a good idea to have a roll of Aluminum tape (like duck tape, only Aluminum).
Then you can seal up the areas where it tears if the tear is letting air escape.
Other than that, these seem to be fine and a very good deal
I do recommend these.
Also note, for those who do not know. ONLY use aluminum vent hoses on your dryer. Never use plastic ones as they can melt can lead to a fire.
These Aluminum ones don't burn.
