Peri Dwyer Worrell: I ordered this, and the similar sling from the company that rhymes with “fawn boy.” Even though this is a less-known brand and the other is an established medical supplier, this one was superior!
The straps were more substantial, the foam padding to keep it from cutting into your neck was better quality, and the Velcro was stronger. The straps allowed a greater range of size adjustments too. Returning the other one.
Always nice when the cheaper option is also the better one!

Big D: So in all honesty, I just put this on. However, initial impression, this is head and shoulders above the thing the hospital sent me home in. In fact they should be ashamed. I will update this review after I've worn this for a while as I have to be in this thing for 6 weeks.

PT: Like most slings this sling is invented for a V shaped man and not a pear shaped women. The waist strap slides up under my arm pits and the neck strap cuts because the chest strap is looking for a place between my breasts. Flat chested women and men will love this. So far, I haven't found a single sling from any provider that has a sling designed for a hefty women. Most barely go around. I don't know what a large man would do. I'm 5'5", weighing 190. So, heavy. But lots of older women are shaped like this. My narrow shoulder didn't help it fit. The waist belt needs to be wider and more adjustable. The shoulder strap needs to be off set and be designed for a women with a chest. This certainly isn't. More padding all around would be great. Because the waist belt slides up the abduction pillow sits way to high pushing my arm out and when I loosen it my arm drops too low.
I made things work by buying several slings and using waist strap from one and the shoulder strap padding from another and the abduction pillow from a third. I also used a pillow case to line it because the surface nylon is very scratchy on all the slings I ordered. I have to wear this thing for many weeks and I...
