MacMike: Lacking any sort of calibrated weights, I can't say for sure how accurate this scale is, but it is plenty accurate enough for my purposes. I really like the smooth uninterrupted glass surface. With no physical buttons or any seams or crevices for anything to get lodged in, it is super easy to keep clean. The display is easy to read and, being that it is below the glass surface, there is no chance of anything making its way in there. All in all, this scale is perfect for my use, and I see no reason not to give it a 5-star rating.

Jennifer Lois: When I started cooking my dog's food instead of serving him commercial prepared food, a scale to weigh out the ingredients was the first thing I had to purchase. I especially love the large surface which is very stable for weighing out larger food amounts and placing his bowl right on the scale and tare it out to zero get accurate weights. As far as performance, I was disappointed that this scale doesn't weigh out to anything other than the whole number. That's my fault for not carefully reading the description. The included batteries have performed great and I haven't had any issues. It's very user friendly and I can tell that I'm getting consistent weights.

Amazon Customer: This is much smaller and more attractive than the one I replaced. I wanted something which holds up to 15 pounds since I routinely can 12 or 15 pounds of fruit. I decided to just keep it out on a counter during canning season, I was using it so much. The season is over for me and I don't know if I will put it away or not, because I also portion meet frequently. I took off one star because it does not lock the number. I wanted to be able to lift off my crate of apples and see what the number is for a couple seconds, but it seems to be large enough that I can place the tote towards the back and see it fine.

AA: Recently i was given a recipe for Cyprus Dessert i really wanted to make. Unfortunately most of the ingredients were in grams. While i could make a good guess on how much that would be for the large amounts, I absolutely could not weigh 20 grams of baking powder without a kitchen scale. We’ve been needing one for quite some time now, and so it was about time to finally make the purchase.

I really liked the tempered glass top with touch buttons and modern look of the LED display. All glass top ‘waterproofing’ and protecting the buttons underneath, for easy cleaning and preventing damage from accidental spills (cooking can be messy and ‘Oopses’ happen sometimes). Bottom side of the unit is not waterproof. Seeing the numbers appearing on the surface without any visible screen box, while background remain the same color as the rest of the top, is very appealing. Other scales with LCD display and a very visible screen box pretty much look like gadgets from the 90’s (no offense intended). Having an actual On/Off button was important to me. Design is very slim and lightweight adding zero bulk to my kitchen and like other reviewers mentioned it can be conveniently...
