A: Very easy to use and read with a large display. Kids going back to school means that they were probably going to get sick so I bought two of these. They come with a cover that the thermometer fits into. It’s very easy to keep clean and the temperature measurement is super fast, which is great for Kids.

Igor Nikonov: I have three small thermometers, but they all show different readings and usually 0.5C below.
Normal human temperature is 36.6C. My small thermometers show from 35.6C (one) to 36.1C (two others).
Eventually one of them was showing 36.7C.
It's very difficult to see the temperature on the small deeply embedded screen, especially in low light conditions.
Small thermometers have also very high beeping tone and my older ear just can't hear it.

This Vicks SpeedRead V912US Digital Thermometer shows my normal temperature of 36.6C every time!
It's SUPER FAST! It starts beeping and flashing light in 5-10 seconds.
The digits are BIG and the screen has a light, so no problem to read the numbers.
The beeping tone is lower and louder, than in the small thermometers, so I can hear it.

This is the best thermometer that I've had.

Peter: will not change from F to C;
no "beep" before self test, as stated in instructions.
Even after inserting new battery it still does not work:

Turned out that not only it is as fabulous as it is in the picture,

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO TO GET 100% ACCURATE READINGS EACH AND EVERY TIME FROM IT:

1. CHECK FOR FAULTS RIGHT OF THE BOX - If the unit has some defects, it will be immediately apparent. Remember that any and all battery operated products that are sitting in the warehouses for moths with their initial batteries in can loose battery life depending on the warehouse temperatures.. Also, some of the manufacturers do put low capacity batteries for the initial use, his is true to low end electronics and high end electronics, just as printer makes give you low capacity ink carriage that come with your printer

Dennis Weinreich: Easy to read, easy to change ranges, seemingly accurate. When I needed a under the tongue thermometer to monitor a recent illness I needed something with a large display and was fast to use. Although nit inexpensive this device was perfect. I could not be more pleased. Hence a rare review.
