Velpeau Arm Sling Shoulder Immobilizer: Support and Stabilize Your Arm and Shoulder

Karen Wade: This sling is infinitely more comfortable than the one the hospital gave me for my broken arm. The only thing that I wish were different is that the straps are not adjustable. That would have given me more of a custom fit. The actual sling strap by my inner elbow is too short. I’ll need to figure out how to extend it.

A. SchenA. Schen: I'm a large guy, and the XXL sling was perfect (my son in the photo is much smaller than I am). I had been using a cheap thin cloth sling from the drug store, and the strap bit deeply into my shoulder. It was better than nothing, but not much. THIS sling eliminated all of those pains. It's a nice, soft, luxurious sling that has a nice wide strap and a chest strap that holds everything in place. It was like getting into a luxury car after riding in a rusty Pinto for months. I am incredibly impressed with the quality of the materials and construction. In my opinion, this is a really great arm sling that I would absolutely recommend.

DSDS: I have used 5 slings in the last 4 weeks. The first was issued by the ER and I didn’t expect much. The fabric was breathable, but the neck strap was very narrow, unpadded and dug into my already aching neck. Needless to say, it was quite uncomfortable. I then ordered a highly rated one from Amazon that was comfortable, but too warm even tho described as breathable. The strap had a movable pad, but it never stayed in place. Next, I ordered this sling, the Velpeau, and it was extremely comfortable. The strap system was a three-way directional unit that relieved the pressure from my neck and shoulder and provided security for my arm. It was somewhat confusing when first unpacked, but it quickly explained itself. Overall, it was the best. My next sling was issued after surgery. What a joke! The fabric was as comfortable as wearing sandpaper. It immediately went in the trash. Since I would be in a sling for the next few months, I opted to buy this Velpeau sling again. While I don’t regard myself an expert on slings, I do believe I am qualified to promote this purchase to anyone in need of comfort in times of discomfort. K: I find this devise to be very easy to put on by myself and comfortable too.
It relieves all the pain in the neck, back and shoulder, with a weight distributing design that balances the forearm and secures the shoulder and elbow joints, by a ban around the waist.
A strap positions the arm into the sling for a comfortable fit. The shoulder strap extends to place the sling below a woman’s breast or alternatively, with the arm on the side of the ribcage. There is even an optional ban to assist the hand to stay in the sling in the same position of rotation.
I think it is an engineering marvel! It is light weight but protects the arm against the body without movement.
I highly recommend this item to rest the arm or these two joints. You won’t be disappointed! K

Luke: The arm sling so much better than the one the hospital gave me. It is very adjustable and sits very securely. It has made a difference to the pressure spots on my arm from my previous sling.

VC: The seller advertised about velpeau sling, which according to him would support my shoulder my shoulder injury, but sent me a totally different caretex brand arm sling which was of cheap quality and did not serve the purpose. For this I waited for one week, but Thank you Amazon, you understood my plight and agreed to refund the amount and I sent it back to the reseller. Don't trust the reseller.
