real: If your dog is a vegetarian, there are very few dog foods out there in the market. My dog seems to like it and It has all the stuff that my dog needs to have a nourishing diet. My only issue is the price they charge for it. It's super expensive when I see all the non vegetarian kibbles out there. I am hoping they will bring the price down in future.

SEC: I tried this vegetarian dog food for my white maltipoo after reading that vegetarian food helps reduce eye staining in small dogs. I’ve saved time and money now that I don’t have to treat the fur around her eyes daily. She has refused a few purchased foods in the past, but she gobbles this up every day.

My Labrador Retriever was on Wild Earth’s original formula (“Complete Protein”) dog food for more than a year before the manufacturer chose to discontinue it. I used to brag to friends that Wild Earth was the best-smelling dog food ever.

That all changed when Wild Earth decided to change their formula.

Thus began my search for a replacement brand of dog food.

I am a believer that you are what you eat, and you can tell a lot about food quality by its scent. (Next time you go to the supermarket, see if you can smell a difference between an organic peach fruit versus a conventional one.) Even if you don’t buy that argument, just imagine what your face would smell like once your pet licks you.

Natural Balance is the second best smelling dog food that I've seen.

But looking at the ingredients, I dislike how Natural Balance lists Brown Rice as the first ingredient in its sequence, so I dropped that brand from my shortlist. (Why is sequence important? Because the first ingredient that’s listed represents the largest amount by weight.)

J: Es un producto bueno en calidad porque los perros lo han aceptado muy bien, lamentablemente la descripción del mismo no coincide. ¡12 kg no es igual a 10 kg que llegaron! eso me enoja bastante porque su precio es muy muy elevado comparado con otras marcas incluso igual de buenas. Ojalá el vendedor lea mi comentario y mínimamente cambie la descripción. ¡Qué decepción!

Lainee: Shipping was quick and easy. The product itself was OK my dog didn’t like it as much as other dog foods. I bought it hoping it would stop his skin allergy (vet says protein allergy) but so far it hasn’t.

Mike Vank: I’m a plant based eater but gave my do meat as that’s good for dogs( not humans) I made his food which was mostly plants but added meat. He got a infection and my vet said it’s a reaction to meat and he should not have it. Now we are both plant based. Now to the dog food. The dog likes it. I only use it when I’m out of home made. It’s expensive!
