SIDj: I use this to store coconut milk and when we need to pour we simply pump it twice to mix well...i use steel filter coffee kettle to take out decoction ...it is more efficient

Susan J.: Had looked at a good deal at local stores..good prices, bad quality…this was the best deal I found on line and took chance it would be better. Definitely very good quality. Seals tight…keeps the heat from escaping…and less grounds filter into coffee than many others..tight seals.

SLB: Although I've had French Press coffee, I didn't like it. I hate sludge in the bottom of my cup. So I always made pour-over. But then I purchased brewable cacao which calls for a French Press. I decided to purchase a small, inexpensive one. This was cute and colorful, sounded good, so I bought it.

I bought the one cup version. It's adorable! My daughter, who uses French Press regularly, squealed over it. Anyway, I began brewing the cacao in it and was very happy with the results. There is some very fine sediment in the cup, but it isn't bad. Then I began adding a bit of coffee during the final couple of minutes to give a mocha flavor. It surprised me that there wasn't much sediment even with the coffee. The flavor is excellent. It holds heat very well.

The few cons with it are: The glass portion doesn't seem to remove from the plastic, so I can't get into the crevasses to clean the outside. I do personally find cleanup a bit difficult. Normally I use a teaspoon to get to the bottom to remove the grounds, or I rinse them out into the toilet because I don't have a garbage disposal. Recently I began scooping out what I can, then rinsing the rest out and putting them...

john m: I have had several presses, so I write from experience. Price is my first priority when shopping and I go from there. I've had this one for a few months. I use it every day and multiple times per day. Happy with it and would buy again.

Pros:

Great price!
Internal metal parts are sturdier than most
I like the design. Simple and and clean.

Cons:

I wish the carafe could slip out easier from the handle part. Most do. It's in there very tight. I haven't been able to wiggle it out yet, but that's not stopped me from washing and using. It would be nice to swap carafes as I have a few.

The carafe spout is short. I prefer a longer, more pointed spout which pours better than this shorter, rounded one.

There is an arrow on the lid that indicates where the opening is, so that you can align that with the spout for pouring. That arrow is really small and hard to see. It is raised, though, so you can feel it.

trevor: This is my first coffee press. I've wanted one for years but kept putting it off, and given the flavour difference I really wish I'd bought one sooner. It was also way easier to use then I expected, although this is my first coffee press so I honestly don't know if this is true of all coffee presses.

The actual "press" (I honestly don't know the correct term) comes apart for cleaning, so if it falls apart in the sink while you're washing it don't panic. I actually wasn't aware of this feature, and the first time mine fell apart we thought it had broken, but on closer inspection we discovered that it actually unscrews so you can clean between the layers. Up until that point I had been basically trying to force water through it at high pressure from the tap to clean out any prices of coffee grounds that had gotten trapped, so this turned out to be a very helpful discovery.

In addition to coffee I am also a real tea lover, and have found to my delight that this coffee press works extremely well with loose tea, so even if you're not looking for a "coffee" press but have been looking for a great solution for your loose tea that is easy to use this would still be a...

Calidad bien. Recipiente de cristal y acabados en plástico negro que parecen buenos. He hecho ya varios cafés y la verdad que prefiero otro tipo de cafeteras. Si buscas hacer gran cantidad de una vez y no tienes ganas de tener una de goteo porque ocupa mucho espacio o por lo que sea esta bien. Ahora para uso diario la veo un poco tiesto.
1- Tienes que precalentar el agua aparte. Con lo cual o tienes un hervidor de agua aparte o en microondas o en una olla pequeña. Con lo que súmale el tiempo más que vas a tardar en esto. O en caso del hervidor que sería lo más cómodo el tiesto más.
2- Para sacar el máximo sabor tienes que hacer (en este caso por lo menos al ser de 1 litro) el litro entero de café para que quede medio bien prensado al final.
3- El café se queda entre las piezas metálicas del émbolo y es una lata quitarlo.
Al final si quieres hacerlo bien tardas unos 15 minutos.
En resumen es igual que el que puedes comprar en ikea o en cualquier sitio pero te lo dejan en casa. Es un poco pesado hacer el café y si tienes sitio casi mejor una de goteo y que te lo mantenga caliente después. Yo compré una oster por aquí y como...
