One observation: The 60/40 rear-seat zipper is on the wrong side for my left-hand-drive Toyota vehicle. The "60" in my vehicle is behind the driver; the "40" is behind the front-passenger seat. However, the cover is opposite. The cover is not reversible because of the exterior handles (which I don't need) and interior storage compartments (nice idea, but we don't and won't use them)--so I couldn't flip it to utilize this feature when I want to drop one seat-back down for storage purposes. Instead, I have to unhook the straps from the seat headrest and the side-door to lay either seat-back down.

Perhaps it could be universal for all vehicles if it didn't have those two features (handles and storage compartments).

ShannonShannon: This worked to keep my pup from crawling in my skin while in the car (he would love to be seated in my lap). Giving it 4 stars because the bottom fabric that he stands on has started coming undone and will soon have a hole in it. Probably a good product for a dog who doesn’t like to stand at all. Overall, has been great to catch sand, dirt, etc.

JRJR: The standard size is a near perfect fit in a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab (4 door). It was easy to install (takes longer the 1st time until you get the straps sized down).

The 1/3 2/3 zip away was great for leaving room for the car seat BUT if you use it this way the remaining portion on the middle seat falls down so I put it behind the seat belt to help a little. Nothing I can do about the mesh portion by the console. This is the only change I thinkthe manufacturer should make - add a strap on both ends of the 2/3 portion for use when the 1/3 is removed.

Pictures show it used full and 2/3, with and w/o the door sides zipped up and connected the the truck's grab handles, and with and w/o the doggie seat belt (I already owned, not included).

I purchased it to help keep the backseat looking new when the dog goes for a ride. There is an opening with velcro for the doggie seat belt to fit through.

Overall I would recommend.

Tom S.Tom S.: This is the second one we purchased. The first one lasted about 4 years and was starting to get a bit worn from the dog's claws getting in and out over the years, and also one of the plastic buckles broke that keeps the strap in place around the driver's headrest. So we decided to replace it. We still have it as a back-up for our car of if someone else needs it. The first one was black. That was a poor color choice. You could easily see the hair and fur on it. While it did its primary job of protecting the back seat, it was a bit unsightly. The second one we bought was tan and matched the dog's color. Looks great, you can't see all the fur and hair that's there. The mesh in the middle allows the A/C to flow through keeping the dog comfortable. It's waterproof and you can clean it by vacuuming it in the car or as I do sometimes, take it out and lay it flat on the driveway and give it a good vacuuming and cleaning with a wet towel. It's easy to install and maintain. we use the pockets to hold plastic water bottles and other small things we may need for the dog. We definitely recommend this product. Don't forget to match the dog's color if you can. See picture.

beep252: Was looking for a cover of back seat for split seats. Came across this one. Nice thickness, like that you can also zip up the sides to prevent the doors getting banged up. You utilize a strap and attach to handles by the top of the windows. Drawback- the clips are plastic, you break the clip, gonna have to improvise.

Another drawback is the zipper placement. It has a mesh area so the dog can see you between the front seats. You can even allow dog access to the front by zipping the mesh down, the dog can pass through.

If you want to put your split seats down or only 1 of the seats, you have to unzip it completely from the mesh all the way off/down to be able to put the seats down. Very inconvenient. Wish it also had a zipper start on this end.

I had purchased a cover for backseat previously but it was not for a split seat. Found out the hard way, not good. When I went to put the seats down, the straps busted because it did have enough “give” to allow the seats to go completely down, thus the straps broke.

After that catastrophe, I went on line to find a split seat cover and ended up w this one. Only drawback is having to unzip it off completely to...

No se resbala y es resistente al agua. Lo utilizo para llevar a mis 3 perros y subir pasajeros con ropa húmeda. Se limpia fácil y seca rápido. No guarda olores .

Brad: Really like this product and have really started using it this winter as its too cold to put the dogs in their kennels in the box of my truck. The zip up features are great, keeps the dogs and their mess all self contained all while saving my seats. No complaints, this is a great product.
