MDC: Picked this sound bar up to use in a self made weatherproof enclosure for my pool/patio deck. Was not expecting much for the price…very pleasantly surprised. Sound was clear and loud but lacks a bit of bass. Not a deal breaker by any means. It’s gonna work out perfectly. The case is solid and hefty and feels like an expensive unit. Looks good too. If you find the sound lacking make sure to go through the sound pre-sets using the remote. It makes a difference. The remote is the only way to do this. It is not a button on the sound bar itself. No biggie.

If you want an inexpensive sound bar that is loud and clear with acceptable bass (I like my sound a little on the bass-y side) I think you’ll be quite pleased.

I took a star off for the bass not being enough for me. Would be 4.5 stars if I could.

Johnny M: I just purchased the newer model of Vmai soundbar and I have a few things to say! I made sure to order the new soundbar because my old one stopped working working on 9/25/23 so I ordered the new one the same day, PAID for the shipping so it would arrive on 9/30/23 the day of my 10 yr old sisters sleepover birthday party, but unfortunately for my sister it was delayed and it was delivered on 10/1/23 which was very upsetting for her because they were planning on watching movies on Disney+! I hooked up my new soundbar and the sound was not good the bass was extremely weak.. I don’t understand why Vmai stopped making the older model which was real good, a soundbar with a separate subwoofer which had a nice strong bass when watching action films or just listening to music! I have returned my soundbar as of 10/3/23

Juan: I was unsure how the sound of this was going to be. I had a 5.1 surround sound system but one of the speaker stand broke. Plus the reciever it had was a DVD, cd player, and radio on it. I didn't really use most of them and felt it was taking up space. I did sound really good. So I gave this sound a try. At first I was not to impressed especially since I was just use to my previous sound system. But things changed when I placed the sound bar above the TV and on top of the entertainment system. What a difference. Maybe its me but it felt like I can hear the bass more. There is a temtplate for you to mount on the wall. I didn't mount it because the wall we have are old drywall and not sure how it will hold. But I bet they would sound great mounted.

Amazon Customer: I bought this looking for a value priced soundbar with good performance. Setup was easy and the overall build and sound quality are excellent for the price! I encountered one issue where the remote wouldn't work. I contacted VMAI customer support and they solved the issue- turns out you just have unplug the unit and plug it back it in to reset the system. Overall great unit and great price, so I bought a second one for my bedroom. Would definitely recommend!

Jean Côté: Wonderful soundbar for the price! Sound is loud and clear with the provided high quality optical cable.

Only one concern, this soun bar is heavy and the provided brackets to hang it on the wall is way too weak and hold only with 4 minuscule screws.

Get a good sound bar support or just put it on a table to avoid a terrible disaster.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with this fine product.

Wil: I was not looking for much, just more volume and clearer speech than I was getting from the TV speakers. This does the job well for me. I did see a comment that the base was not that great. WRONG! If the program you are listening to has much base in the audio then this sound bar replicates it well. I could not be more pleased for the price I paid. I have the sound bar mounted just above a 65" TV, close to the ceiling. The base speaker fire upward and bounce off the ceiling with more than adequate sound level. I have no problem giving this system 5 stars.

This VMAI was for a friend's older HDTV that does not have ARC capability, and therefore cannot use the TV's volume control. Equally important, is that my friend was very non-technical, so the soundbar choice needed to be easy to use.

We originally tried a Polk Signa S2, which is somewhat comparable, but it had the worst remote control delay I have ever seen and no display, only LED lights that are difficult to interpret from across the room. So the VMAI was selected for its comparable price and having the 2-digit display. The Polk sounded better in some ways, but lacked the sound shaping modes that the VMAI has. This became crucial when listening to news and talk shows which require more than just Bass and Treble adjustment. Also, the Polk did not seem to punch sound as much as the VMAI does with certain settings.

We tested bluetooth with a Mac laptop but it seemed unreliable, sometimes losing connection when the laptop was woken up or turned on, requiring fiddling to get it reconnected. The optical connection works well, but then the VMAI remote must be used for volume, adding another...
