Patrick: As I read this book I was reminded how often I personally believed that my thoughts were positive, my joy after a success was genuine, and my general attitude was upbeat; was I ever wrong!!! Darrin’s unique ability to break down human behavior within a sports metaphor is something special. He offers great insight as to why we need to be optimistic, real, and living for what we have right now.
Keep an open mind and enjoy.

Michael Christie: I thought it was interesting and very useful - and just a bit too good to be true. I looked up the baseball player and the coach and neither exists. So sadly this is a work of fiction but the lessons it provides still work and will provide an easy way to learn about positivity and optimism and how to apply them.

Andre: I am not a big reader but this book made it easy, especially with the team sports setting and positive message that was being sent. You can quickly relate to the character and you learn, or are reminded of, to approach situations with a positive mindset.

Rick: There is a seemingly silly phrase in the Adam Sandler movie, “Water boy” where the goofy character yells, “you can do it...” Thinking you can or thinking you can’t plays a key roll in all our lives and this story provides depth to that understanding.
