I've just started painting. I am just mesmerised with the creations I've seen on videos. I couldn't get the consistency right for pouring, but by following guidelines in the book, I am having far better results. Still a long way to go, but each one I do is getting better! There was a lot more to this type of art than I thought I should have read more about it before I bought so many supplies however I did buy three books and this one here is great for beginners it teaches you the tools in the mixtures and what materials you're going to need how to stay safe and there's so many different types of surfaces you can use this technique on I am very happy that I bought it although I haven't gotten around to doing any projects yet because I am backed up with others and after that they have the art of paint pouring tips and techniques step by step instructions and then another book is like to master the art so I got lucky and picked three really good books that kind of went together without even realizing it but it's a great book to learn how to use this technique and there's something for everyone there'there's also something for children to you know the elderly it's whatever type of surface you're trying to use this type of artwork on I mean they have things for kids they have things for teenagers adults you know it can be a hobby you can use it as a way to produce products to make money there's so much to this to this art it's amazing...

I am extremely pleased with this book. I paint mixed media abstracts so I’m no beginner, however, I have never tried paint pouring. It fascinates me and I can’t wait to try it. I have watched videos on the paint poring process and was able to drill it down to a few selected teachers. I prefer to have instructions in a book so that I can refer to the instructions easily. Marcy Ferro has all the information you need to get started.
