J.Brown DRA: I enjoy reading books written by John. He is insightful and backs what he is writing with experiences.
Starting the Daily Dozen has helped me make so many small positive changes in my daily routine and has helped me focus on what’s important.

Kay: There is the occasional bit of good information in this book, but also a lot of privilege and ignoring reality.
I believe most of these issues are more complex than the author describes. I feel he talks of things he can't possibly understand from his place of privilege, such as the attitude of Mother Teresa. I don't think it's appropriate to have a relentlessly joyful attitude among the dying, and furthermore I know that Mother Teresa refused her patients analgesia because she believed it brought them closer to God, among other things. This, to me, seems like hiding behind a joyful attitude to avoid really connecting with the pain of other's, which is something I would not want to trade in my own life.
He discusses Lance Armstrong without mentioning the doping... Which seems like a massive oversight. After writing about how success is not defined by outcomes, he exalts someone who focused on outcomes at all costs. I do not think a relentlessly positive attitude is a good way to live, because as the author clearly shows in his biases, it forces you to omit the actually bad things people have done.
Also, replacing "I don't have time" with "I will make time" is...

Kindle Customer: Good book touched on alot of ways to improve yourself and to focus on yourself today to be prepared for the future and that is something thats very important for us to do because we are so focused on the past and future and not living in the moment this moment is your preparation for whats to come

Michael Holland: I have purchased numerous, 10-20, copies of this book over the years, for myself, for my teenage kids, for young students in youth groups, frankly for anyone I meet who is truly interested in working on building a better life for themselves.
I re-read the book - well scan through my dog-earred copy, filled with post-it's and scribbled notes, every December as I review how my year gone by has worked out, and what I should do in the coming year. I've been doing that for at least ten years.
It doesn't matter what stage of life you are at, the principles laid out in this book can add significant value to you.
Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Thank you John Maxwell - who taught me that "Winning is an inside job".

IA: It is great if we implement the ideas committedly. Read, review and implement to see the results. Mere reading will not make the difference.

Frederik Van Lierde: Some of you would be surprised I was reading Today matters from John C. Maxwell as he is a pastor. That doesn't change the fact about the great book it is and he is a New-York Times best-selling author.
As an entrepreneur, I know that habits are a great tool to succeed, most of us think of habits as physical rituals like checking our bank account or doing daily exercise. But I was always feeling there was more.
That's why I started reading Dr Maxwell books Today matters. The book talks about practices you can start implementing on a daily base and I do most of them and since I started implementing them, I do/feel more successful, I concentrate better and I have much less stress.
Many other books write about high-performance habits, this book explains about why thinking and family and generosity is important.
You would think these are strange subjects for an entrepreneur trying to make his business grow it isn't. What was very pleasant to read is Dr Maxwell comes up with many entrepreneurial examples. This made me give the book 5 stars. It is a book 100% dedicated to entrepreneurs and how to succeed.
Chapter 8 is about commitment as Dr Maxwell...
