Frances McNair: I bought this book so I could read along with my granddaughter who was reading it at school. She had an assignment, too. She used a shoe box and created a “ cage “ like Humphrey’s complete with nesting box, “ poop only “ corner, detective stickers, and a plush toy hamster inside. It was really cute. It was a fun book, even for grandma.

SD Mom: My 6 year old loves this book. I've been looking for chapter books for her to read, because she's required to read 20 minutes a night for school. I've been a little frustrated with so many of the books with bratty or smart aleck kids. I've read parts of this with my daughter and I love these books. Humphrey is always helping children and trying to get them to all get along.

lottiespoon: Another great book from Betty G Birney.My eight year old daughter loves these Humphrey books and is always on the look out for one she hasn't already read. She reads them over and over again and the only downside is having to wait for Betty G Birney to write the next instalment to Humphreys adventures. I think the next one is due out about September, but it's along time to wait when you are only eight!
