chad: This is a very interesting approach. Unless you’re practitioner buys into these ideas, then it will be difficult to follow this regime. I called the Care oncology clinic that is recommended in this book but the communication and follow through from this clinic made me think that it was a scam. They are difficult to reach and difficult to access. I’m not sure what this says about, these ideas.

Sharon: This is a Great Book with a great story, it is a lot to take in and with Brain Fog from the Cancer needed to make a lot of notes, but its great to know there is hope and victory out there with this disease and would love to see Jane in person if she ever does seminar in my city.

Maffetina: When you write a book called "How to Starve Cancer," why would you spend more than half of the book not only telling your personal life details but then also insisting over and over that everyone read these details or else Part 2, the science part, won't make sense? There's really no connection at all.

While her research is impressive, she will openly say that a supplement good for one cancer could cause another type of cancer to grow. So what are we to do with this info?

That said, it's amazing that she developed this protocol during the days of no Internet. It's no small feat, and I'm deeply grateful to her for steering me in this direction. However, I wish she had written a book with less personal info and more science and how-to info in an organized way. Now THAT would be a gem.

I honestly don't know why she felt her personal details were of such paramount importance. Is she hoping Hollywood will want to tell the Jane McLelland story? :)

AustinReader: This is an amazing memoir by a woman who the medical system failed. She had to find her way through research studies to discover how to cure her cancer. Thank goodness some doctors are listening to her now. She followed her heart and mind to heal herself, using a variety of means, and now helps others heal with what she learned. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiring story!!!

Kevin S: I really like this book, especially in that it led me to Care Oncology and a metabolic approach to health. The book is full of great info and Janes story is amazing. But, for me, I feel she does go off on too many tangents with too many details such as work issues, challenges with pregnancy and so on. Because of this, I gave it 4 stars. If she stayed on track with cancer, she could have shaved a few chapters off. Still a good book but be prepared for a bit of ranting.

Roger Carrington: Interesting as it was to read as a biography there was a little to much for me it took a while to get to the nitty gritty that apart I found it very useful as a guide my own experience being similar and I am following the advice

Sagacious: This is an absolutely fantastic book, and I gave it 5 stars, even though it has some caveats. It is a real page turner, thanks to the author's prodigious writing talents, and she stays on point 98% of the time, offering pearls of advice and information on killing cancer, even though it relates her personal story. The main caveat is that, even though the first 300 pages are an easy read and utterly engaging, dispensing vital information throughout, at the same time, the last 100 pages suddenly become exponentially more technical, and somewhat difficult to decipher, at first. You may want to read some sections here more than once to get it clear. Secondly, it becomes so technical regarding "fine tuning" your program, which requires your own research ( she offers basic guidance how to do it) and diagnostic tests which only a trained physician would know what to utilize, such that, ultimately, you will need to seek out a holistic MD/oncologist focused on cancer. But, she does, to her credit offer an exhaustive list of medical references. Another minor complaint is that there are a huge number of "broad spectrum", completely natural nutraceuticals such as modified citrus pectin,...

Amazon Customer: I've read this book twice and listen to the audiobook. It is technical. I often had to sit down and Google a few of the terms. Unlike some of the reviewers, I'm motivated because I do have cancer. The book was recommended to me by a physician in my family. It had been recommended to him by a physician colleague. I've seen some people say that there's inaccuracies in this book, however, if you take the time to look up the details you will see that everything she claims is published for consumption on PubMed. So far everything I've looked up appears to check out. I've also seen other reviewers claim that doctors aren't going to prescribe this kind of protocol to treat cancer. If those reviewers had actually read the book in its entirety they would see that this is a major point of her conversation. That's why she gives you the information you need to learn what's happening so that you can talk intelligently with your doctor. She also gives you the names of clinics all over the world that you could use. It's definitely not going to be an easy protocol to implement because you do need support from someone in the medical community who's willing to write prescriptions, and there are a...

BP: I initially hesitated to write a review and NOT because this 'game-changer' of- if I may say so- THE ultimate Do It Yourself Cancer -Compendium was not 'worthy'! Quite the opposite in fact! No, it was because all the other wonderfully uplifting and heart warming reviews on Amazon echoed MY sentiments absolutely!
I was diagnosed with Stage 3c ('at least', as my Oncologist poetically put it!...), Ovarian/Peritoneal Cancer in July 2016; and I had my 1st Chemo'; whilst in hospital being 'drained' of malignant ascites the day before my birthday!!! after the unspeakable mind-numbing disbelief I was quickly 'swallowed up' in the Cancer virtual 'reality' world with rounds of Clinic and hospital appointments. I was given 6 IV treatments of 3 weekly Carboplatin/Paclitaxel, Chemotherapy
. At the end of my 4 months Chemotherapy I 'enjoyed' (I was on a 'high', having 'escaped' all the evil 'doings' that those drugs could have dumped on my compromised system) a brief respite before I had a complete Hysterectomy in January 2017, with an appendectomy thrown in for free! I recovered quickly and without
complications/serious side effects. Consequently I felt 'reborn' when 'It' was ALL OVER...
