Siddharth Sharma: I am just starting to learn more about tech product management and I found this book amazing as a step to start the journey. The book goes over all major tech concepts and explains them with no assumed tech knowledge or understanding. The authors have also done a great job of tying actions of the big tech companies into their overall business strategies. Very helpful overall in understanding tech product management. I loved the section of the book which compares western tech vs Eastern tech (India, China, SEA).

DPDP: This book helped deepen my understanding of the strategies employed by top tech companies. It is very easy to read, yet provides enough depth of content to enhance the reader’s ability to ask the right questions when working with technical colleagues. This should be required reading for all customer facing functions to help them understand how to best work with product managers and even transition in the the product org, if they desire.

Amazon Customer: I'm a Product Marketer in a software company, and this book was really useful. It's got an excellent coverage, and explains difficult technical concepts using simple language and analogies. The masterstroke, though, is covering tech and business strategy in the context of real-life examples from the world's tech companies. This really brings the explanations to life.

Saurabh S.Saurabh S.: The case studies depicted in the book is super interesting and the way it has been put into words makes it so easier for readers to understand the strategies of tech giants even when they are not from the tech industry. The writers have beautifully explained how the companies change their product strategy based on where they are selling the product and how competitive edge is gained. How government plays roles in the carving of important product features and how the first world countries differ from third world countries even when they both use same products. Kudos to the writers. It's got me hooked to the product industry. Will surely buy the other books from Neel, Parth and Aditya

R. McGuire:
I bought "Swipe to Unlock" because I thought it was a business strategy book (since it's subtitle is "A Primer on Technology and Business Strategy"). It's not, but I enjoyed it immensely anyway. It is a very readable introduction to many of the Internet-based technologies and services that we take for granted everyday. It's kind of like the classic kids book "The Way Things Work" but for adults and specific to the modern Internet/Mobile age in which we live. There are some technical details I could quibble with, but there were also a number of things that were new to me and that helped me better understand my daily interactions with technology.
My one big complaint with the book is its obvious bias. The three authors are product or program managers for Google, Facebook, and Microsoft and they definitely see things through the lens of the culture in which they work. The Internet giants can do no wrong and any companies or government entities that act in a way that doesn't maximize the profit potential for their employers must be stopped. The most glaringly obvious example is their handling of net neutrality. Their blindness to the silliness of their own...

Thakur: I wasn't aware of this until a few days ago, and after discovering it, I started reading. Surprisingly, I finished the entire book in just one week. This is the first time in my life that I've completed a book so quickly.
A great read for those who want to understand the underlying Technology and business strategy of the biggest enterprises of the world and join them.
Being a naturally curious person, this book has clarified many doubts I had about technology and product management.
Kudos to the writers! I've even started following all three of them (Parth Detroja, Aditya Agashe, Neel Mehta), and I'm confident that I can learn a great deal from their insights.
