ChristoChristo: Whether you discover Clint Pulver through one of his public speaking events or you find him for the first time through his book, you should count yourself lucky. I met Clint thanks to a speaking event for the NY NSA Chapter, and I knew within moments of speaking with him that listening is one of his superpowers, along with empathy. I am not exaggerating when I say that he made me feel interesting and important within minutes of speaking with him. He may look like he's fifteen years old, but he is an adult who has led a very interesting and multi-faceted life already. As a result, his life experience flows through his talk and, in this book, through all the pages at your disposal. The lessons he teaches are geared toward the employee/boss dynamic, but if you look at it the right way, the lessons inform good practices for any relationship. Listening, caring, taking action, being patient, being creative, putting other people before yourself, finding opportunities from problems. He makes a clear point of the Mr. Jensens in the world (read his book to understand) but I say, we need more Mr. Pulvers in this world. His main message - don't worry about being the best in the world, focus...

Yogita: I Love It Here", could very well be liken to the twelve apostles of curating a culture that people won't ever want to leave. The practical approach that Pulver takes isn't just words, but is based on field work performed by Pulver himself,
definite read for anyone wanting to learn about current employment strategies to improve not only production but overall morale. Clint’s experiment the Undercover Millennial gives great insight to what people value and want from their employers. Each chapter leaves you with an action to take to gain insight and make small changes..

Marcello Pedalino: If you’ve ever led a successful company in the business world or special events industry, you know that the members of your team ultimately deserve the credit for the end result.

In his new book., “I Love It Here, How Great Leaders Create Organizations Their People Never Want To Leave,” my Emmy award winning friend and fellow speaker, Clint Pulver, does us all a big favor and breaks down the anatomy of a ‘dream team’ and how to strengthen your organization’s foundation so that the core vibe of everyone’s “attitude, behavior, and character” are solid.

These were a few of my favorite excerpts:

"I've seen organizations spend valuable time and money trying to fix issues that are actually just symptoms, while the real problem goes unidentified."

Like most challenges that arise in life, people focus on short-term fixes instead of diving a little deeper to get to the root cause. This is unfortunately true for our country as well. When it comes to healthcare, billions of dollars are spent each year to “fix” people’s illnesses and ailments with medication and drugs as opposed to simply investing in better lifestyle choices which would...

Les PattersonLes Patterson: Small businesses are struggling to find, hire, and retain great employees at all levels of their organizations. Many factors play into this, including record-low unemployment, enhanced unemployment benefits, and political pressure to increase the minimum wage.

While these are each significant factors, according to Clint Pulver ― aka the Undercover Millennial― the number one reason for employee turnover (spoiler alert) has everything to do with the leader.

In a recent interview focused on his new book, “I Love It Here – How Great Leaders Create Organizations Their People Never Want To Leave,” Clint highlighted three key areas I believe are applicable to every leader in all areas of life... Create Moments, Be A Mentor, and People Remember.

CREATE MOMENTS

“We don’t remember the days as much as we remember the moments that change our lives,” Clint shared with me when I interviewed him.

As a young 10-year-old boy in school, Clint had trouble sitting still. His high energy, and what some saw as ADHD, often got him in trouble and sometimes even sent to the principal’s office. While many saw just a young boy who disrupted class, one...

Kosh Sonal: I walked away from being a 'manager' almost five years ago. It was over something very small really. I granted one of my direct reports a leave real time because he walked up to me and told me how he really wanted to take his girlfriend out on a surprise day out. I was told thereafter by fellow and senior managers how all reports must be treated as mules to pull the carriage that a business is metaphorically. It broke my heart and I instantly walked away from being a manager feeling dejected and alone.
As a reportee with another firm, I expect no miracles whatsoever from any managerial structure. I have no hope and remain practical at all times. I believe Simon Sinek, I just don't agree that such places exist.
I met Clint accidentally in the middle of a technical check during one of his pre keynote preparation time slots. I was instantly glued not realising that his upcoming book was on my list of top 50 reads for 2021. I joined the dots in due course of time and was sold completely...I bought the book right then and there. 24 days later, the book was launched and I've read it twice already. The world needs mentor managers and I am back to believing that I am not alone and...
