Lena ❤️: This book has so much information and is well presented; I refer to it often. The problem is the book fell apart (a huge chunk fell out- no, I don't leave my books facedown 🙄) less than a week after I started reading it. I had ordered 2 other books at the same time which I read first so by the time this book fell apart it was too late to return.
Buy the book- it's a great add for any "witchy" library 🧙🏻‍♀️

Ren: This book came into my life at the perfect time.

I really enjoyed the author’s take on the subject matter of shadow work, human emotions, and witchcraft. I feel that she strikes a very balanced, realistic, and thought provoking view on topics we often consider taboo in the “all love and light” world of witchcraft.

She advocates for ethical practices when it comes to any supplies used, which is paramount. She offered resources, a well categorized index, and infused personal stories throughout the book.

After reading, I feel like I am more prepared for the shadow work that I need to do. And I also feel more accepted as a normal person with normal emotions - not trying to stuff down anger or hurt but rather face it and work through it.

Overall I highly recommend this book for those who aren’t afraid to understand more about the “dark” side of things and who are willing to understand that it’s not always love and light. Sometimes there is some heavy stuff we have to navigate.

JunoJ: A wonderful book full of all the juicy info you would want on the topic. And also such an important book. Through the ages and cultures witches and shamans have worked with the stuff that repells a lot of us modern witches. Unnecessarily so. Blood, bone, saliva, urine, graveyard dirt, ashes etc. can be potent ingredients of our spells. And if you still don't want to use them - which is abolutely ok - the book is still important because it makes you contemplate the reasons why.

FMGSimoes: I really enjoyed reading this book, the way the topics are approached is very enticing.
It has an excellent array of exercises and workings to do, it also gives good tools to help develop our own path for working with shadow magick.
If you still haven't fully formed your moral compass when it comes to magick, the way the book is written when it comes to more baneful type workings is pretty nice.
The author speaks in a very loving way about the stuff that makes us human, that same stuff we don't want to look at.
I'm not sure where I would stand in recommending this book to an absolute beginner, but I 100% definitely recommend reading this book somewhere along the spiritual/witchy path.
Can't wait to read more books from the author.
