Jb: I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this book as well as the others by this author. This is my favorite book by him though. I just fell in love with the detail and extra effort put into it, and for such a to me cheap price to be so nice!! Seems like a steel, had to order his other ones after seeing and reading this one!!
All of the art work through out the book is awesome it made me want to sit down and make my own art, and printed very well onto to the pages with vivid color! There are tons of diagrams and chArts in his books including this one, which I have yet to see in other books. And it made me so happy bc that’s what I like to do myself! Very very detailed informative and ACCURATE!!! I love Tolkien and love not only reading his works but studying it as well, and this book was a treasure chest of gold and diamonds for me!!
The book is about the dark forces/energies/powers/people/beings/and concepts throughout Tolkien’s works. From the beginning work of the Silmarillion to the end of the Lord of the Rings in the Fourth Age. What was so amazing and an “all in one” was that the author incorporated the concepts and writings and mythologies of other...

Ansel Deane: Great book and leatherbound to boot. The author took great effort in conparing Tolkien's Middle Earth with real world mythology.

Petra: I bought this for my Tolkien loving father as a gift. I'm sure he's going to like it. Also bought the book " The Heroes of Tolkien" to go with it.
The book is beautifully made. The cover is leathery like and the picture on it is carved into it. Only thing is, that the soft cover needs to be handled carefully, since it seems to damage easily. My book got tiny tear from the cardboard box's edge while unwrapping it.
