Started studying the book of Thoth and wanted to understand tarot. I tried other boo, but this one is only one that made me feel when I studied. Allisonata: I didn't have anything to start with, so I was just using a website to look up the meanings of cards, but what I really wanted was a book. Using electronics in my readings just didn't feel right, but it was all I had. Thanks to this book, I now have access to several spreads, insight into my cards, knowledge on how to cleanse my deck and detailed explanations of each and every card in the deck. I like how the explanations are divided into career, love, spiritual and a general introduction to the card. It makes readings more personalized when you can look at specific situations. Overall, very happy with this book, it even has room in the margins to add my own notes or impressions of different cards.

Wer sich das Tarotlegen selbst beibringen möchte und die Kartenbedeutungen fundiert wissen will, dem kann ich dieses Buch nur empfehlen! Schade, dass es auf Englisch ist (auch wenn ich selbst damit kein Problem habe) - ich würde es sonst noch viel mehr Leuten empfehlen! Klares Fazit für alle, die Englisch können: KAUFEN!

ABCDEFG: Great. Just great. *sigh* What Juliet Diaz did for "Witchery," Jessica Wiggan now does for Tarot. There are so many similarities between the two authors that immediately upon my sense came the spectre of heavy marketing machinery. Both ladies run "apothecaries," have large social media and internet presences, including a "school," and both reference and cash in on their magical lineages (Juliet is a third-generation Witch-Healer, which is the romanticized English translation of "curandera", and Jessica references her mother as a "shaman and High Priestess," but of what tradition, she does not say). The Amazon pages of both books kind of look the same, too. The books do not have the same publishers, though...Hay House for the former, Callisto Media for this one. But marketing machinery uses all the same slickened grease and, consequently, they have all the same stench.

Anyway, there is nothing new in this book. You can find all this information for free on the internet. The card meanings given are fairly standard, although bent heavily toward psychology and not events (eg. Magician: a reminder of your personal power; High Priestess: listen to and follow your intuition;...
