HarleyQueenHarleyQueen: This book is great! It’s easy to follow with fun little pictures for each letter and makes learning Hebrew letters and words a little easier for me. I still have to learn what the words mean but it’s neat just being able to decipher the letters.

lilie: Grace a ce livre j'ai reussi a déchiffrer l'hebreu en une semaine de façon tres agréable et facile. Mais déciffrer ne veut pas dire comprendre. A présent le travail commence et il est ardu, mais je suis reconnaissante a ce livre qui m'a permis de faire un pas de geant pour m'encourager dans l'effort qui est devant. Ce qui est tres interessant c'est que ce livre est accompagné par des videos qui explique chaque leçons du livre et sont aussi claires et agreables que le livre avec l'auteur. Je recommande a tout ceux qui ont du mal a se lancer , le resultat de ce livre sur l'apprenant est tel que l'encouragement est immédiat et montre que l'apprentissage de cette langue est a la portée de tous. je recommande vivement

Amazon Customer: I recently began an informal Hebrew class with the local community. We base our lessons around this book. i am no stranger to linguistics and language learning, so sometimes beginner books seems a bit repetitive across multiple languages. However I do appreciate the accessible format, large font and mnemonical graphics to learn the alphabet, plus some useful words that are actually worth knowing and show up in the bible and modern Hebrew. Although it is unclear whether you are learning just biblical Hebrew or modern Hebrew at times.
The review after two weeks is useful as it shows the vocabulary you learn associated with each word and the words are categorised by the letter you learn in chronological order. I would have given 5 stars if the two extra conditions were met: the back of the book containing a complete vocabulary list of the words learned through the 6 weeks. having an optional chance to learn the words without the vowel markers since Hebrew is read without the vowels in the real world. Regardless of these two absences, it is still a good beginner book, although a little pricey at £18.99 (as of 2022).
