Angela Maccarone: Loved all the truths about sugar and disease. If only my own doctor would take a more concerted effort to promote proper nutrition instead of medications. Its like they assume you don't even want to try and make a change. I have never felt better in my 50 years of life. Adopting Paleo has lead me to a reduced A1C and I plan on being off all of my medications in the very near future. Weight just dropped off along with all the medical problems. No more blood pressure issues, normal cholesterol and diabetes almost cured. Thank you Dr Hyman for letting the truth be know!

sarav: This is not a just a book to give information. This is a workbook with which we can effectively find out by ourselves what went wrong in our body and correct through natural ways.
Those who want to reverse diabetes, decrease body weight, decrease blood cholesterol and so on and most importantly those who want to be healthy must read this book rightly saying must work out on health with this book.

TR: I'm a doctor suffering from type 2 diabetes. I have been on oraledication for controlling my diabetes. I'm obese as well. So far it has been very tricky to manage my blood sugars. As I tried to have a tight control I was prone to have hypoglycemia and every time my blood sugars will drop I had to take something sweet to recover and I always ended up having ore than what I needed so result was a big rise in my levels. I was exercising but non of my exercise sessions went without an episode of hypoglycemia and eventually sweet intake and so on. I had to carry something sweet with me all the time just in case. I was anxious, had extreme sweet craving so much so that without realisation I was having sweets all day and my love for sweets was becoming an addiction because I was becoming an addict to my cravings. Now this book has totally changed my life. I haven't started to follow it 100% which I could not due to multiple reasons but I in tend to as soon as possible and I would recommend others to do as well. I have incorporated all the principles in my diet and am sticking to most of the ingredients and supplements recommended by Dr. Hyman in this book. I have started exercising too....

sandi C.: Have been using this guide and the Blood Sugar Solution Cookbook for 7 weeks have lost 17lbs and gained a whole new relationship with food, along with renewed health and energy. I would recommend this to anyone with any health concerns and for those who just want a healthier body and higher level of nutritious food intake. It does address a number of health issues not just high blood sugar, it is an excellent way to hit the reset button and start over with clean slate. The first couple weeks were a bit challenging but got easier each week, I have more energy and actually even deal with work stress much better. I just jumped in and got started right away before I could come up with a 100 excuses why I couldn't or it wasn't the right time (you know the drill) I did read through the book during the first two weeks and referred back many times after that. So if you want a better quality of life with a healthier body this may be program for you, it was for me I actually appreciate and enjoy food more then I ever did before.

Dave M.: This diet is nothing short of miraculous. This review is a bit long, but that is because we are so excited about the results of following The Blood Sugar Solution plan.
My husband is not a diabetic, but has had high fasting blood sugar (in the pre-diabetic range) for the last 28 years. Now that he is approaching 60, he thought it was high time to get his sugar issue under control before it became full blown diabetes. It is worth noting that we are very healthy eaters, having been vegetarian for the past 20 years. He has had no weight problem and his overall health has always been great, hardly even getting a common cold. Yet, his blood sugar remained an issue in spite of his healthy lifestyle and he has been battling elevated cholesterol as well. But when you are young, thin and healthy overall, you tend to ignore these kinds of things. He decided it was time to stop ignoring it.

Biff Hooper: Truth is simple. Always. Healthy eating is simple too. Dr. Hyman makes a good point in that there are only a handful of things that can go wrong with your physical body. Yet the medical profession has classified over 2,000 different diseases. This is insanity. Point well made by Dr. Hyman. However.....
This is the second book I've read by Dr. Hyman. The first was The Ultra Mind Solution. Both books advocate essentially the same diet and supplements, etc. A word of caution is in order here. Dr. Hyman is a super-charged AMBITIOUS individual who believes he has a message to take to the world. Or at least that's how he appears to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But.......
Why does he have to make it so complicated? Healthy eating isn't complicated. I found this book to be difficult, and boring. Worse, the implementation of his program is tediously complex and too difficult for me to follow without making a full-time job out of it. Many pages deal with stuff I have no interest in whatsoever and he spends so much time trying to convince you that there is a problem out there with the way most Americans eat. Duh!
