Frequent Amazonian: The window opening is right beside the bed so I bought this to move the portable AC to the other side and it's great now.

Amazon Customer: The quality of the hose itself is excellent. Better than the OEM hose that came with my air conditioner. Packaging on the other hand was sub-standard. It was shipped in an extremely frail box that got compressed during shipping, damaging the hose. I had to cut 6-8 inches off of one of the ends to remove a dented and torn portion. Cutting a few inches off of the hose seemed like less trouble than requesting and waiting for a replacement, as it was still considerably longer than my original hose. Five stars if not for the flimsy packaging.

Montana Mama loves the blues: Thank goodness they make longer hoses for standalone AC units.

Why delonghi doesn’t provide a longer hose with the unit is a disservice, especially for the price of these units. If you have to overstretch the shorty that comes with the unit, the coils begin to tear, it pops out from the back on the unit making placement adjustments to the unit. The length is inappropriate from the get go.

We have the PAC AN135HPEKC and the adapters that connect the hose to the unit and the other to the window exhaust port transferred from the original hose to this one with zero issues. We are very pleased with this purchase.

John DavidJohn David: Works perfectly with my old Haier machine. It was a bit tough to get them screwed on but I got and now my room is nice and cool. The extra length is what I needed. The original ones are too short. The quality is solid, they are not flimsy or thin. The original ones we’re flimsy and tore easily.

tweberfree: Fits great and works as expected for an extension hose but it reduces the efficiency of my floor air conditioner (just as the manufacturer instructions advised, there is a reason for the shorter hose length that they provide with the equipment.) However, because of the configuration of my home, I have no choice but to use a longer hose than the manufacturer provided. I was happy to find this at a good price.

DC: I purchased this for my Commercial Cool brand portable AC unit (purchased from Wal-Mart) to replace the flimsy exhaust hose that came with it and started tearing and cracking. This fits perfectly, took less than 30 seconds to attach, and the extra length is great. If you need a longer or replacement 5" wide exhaust hose for your AC unit, don't hesitate to purchase this one!

Rich C: The unit only came with a 4 foot tube extended and due to the height of the window and that its a slider this one made it possible to get the unit running smoothly with the extra 3 foot it provided and fits like a glove.

C. DARROWC. DARROW: Fits perfectly on an obsolete Amcor Portable Air Conditioner unit Model PLM12000E. $39.99 is a little expensive for a piece of plastic, but this item is hard to find at your local hardware store. I hit 3 hardware stores before I finally found this online. The original 5" exhaust hose lasted ~12 yrs.
