Sue: Fit a large fireplace opening easily. The measurements were perfect and the screen is nice and sturdy. It does get hot so make sure to use mitts if your removing it.

The Amazing Spoderman: Saw all the 1 star reviews but decided to buy it anyway. Not disappointed at all. The unit came completely assemled. The construction is good (not heavy duty by any means but still feels well built). Nothing is bent or scratched like others have mentioned. It has a nice metallic brushed finish on the beams. The little handles are a very nice feature. The mesh screen is pretty robust feeling. The 4 corners also have spires that really help the look. Haven't actually lit a fire inside it yet, but I don't think the finish would have any issues if I did.

Diane Crist: 1st off...No Instructions!!!! This was in several pieces when it arrived. Had to look at picture on Amazon to put together. 2nd.... After 1/2 hour finally got the job done. 3rd... Its flimsy but I'm only using it to keep dogs away from a gas heater. I Would not recommend it for use with a fireplace (not heavy enough). I installed L brackets on the base to keep it it place. But for the price...It will do the job I need it to do. For safety reasons, Buy a heavier gauge metal fire place screen

clark: I have ordered thousands of items in my lifetime, and bar none, this is the biggest piece of crap I have ever received. It is supposed to come completely put together, but when it arrived, there were no less than 10 little parts that had come off the screen assembly and one screen that was loose and all of its parts dangling. The first thing that happenned is that I cut myself on one of the screens because the protective side had come off. I was bleeding for quite some time. The second thing I noticed was the extremely poor quality of the material and assembly. I am very handy by nature, but even I had to give up trying to put this piece of junk back together again. Plus it was not worth it, even if I had put it together again, all I would have then had was a piece of crap fireplace screen.

C. ARNEILL: I just got this fireplace screen and was disappointed immediately. It had fallen apart before I even opened the box. It was not easily put together...took a lot of work with the screws, caps, etc. to get it together (they kept falling off). Overall, I like the design, but the mesh screen is chintzy, and the entire frame is light weight & CHEAP. Not very sturdy.
I didn't expect top quality for $32, but couldn't believe it was made as cheaply as it is. I plan to send it back and look for a better quality item. I don't recommend spending your money on this one...unless you need cheap and lightweight. Too bad, I do like the simple lines/design...hence the 2 stars.
