Mary D: Although Axe is a PhD scientist, he relies here on common sense to show that life could not have originally just "evolved" from non-life. In order to show the impossibility of the Darwinian theory, Axe does need to discuss probability at length - which can seem tedious - but the detail is needed to thoroughly make the point. This is an important book, adding to Intelligent Design writing by other scientists (e.g. Behe and Meyer) who rely more on the details of science. For me, the ending was a real AHA! Amazing!

Kindle Customer: It’s not surprising that the reviews are almost all either 5 star or 1 star. Axe begins by showing the closed-minded attitude of many evolutionary scientists to any challenge to their view. That closed mind shows in their reviews.
He argues that there is a common-sense view of things which in fact embodies good science. That common sense view tells us that if we open a pot of alphabet soup, we will not find the noodles formed in a lengthy meaningful sentence, far less paragraphs of directions for building something. Evolutionists will argue that if we did it enough times, somewhere along the way the laws of probability tell us we would get such a complex meaningful statement out of the alphabet soup. Contrary to their objections, Axe’s approach is good science.
In my 4th year physics labs, one of the things we did was measure the charge to mass ratio of an electron. If I had measured a figure three times the normal value, my prof would not have told me, “Well, it’s a random universe, & that means that once in a zillion times something like this will happen.” What he would have done is examine the way I’d taken the reading to find out what I had done wrong....

Jack Kettler: Undeniable
By Douglas Axe Published by Harper One
A review by Jack Kettler
Douglas Axe, a brief bio:
Douglas Axe is a molecular biologist and Director of Biologic Institute. He completed his PhD at Caltech and held postdoctoral and research scientist positions at the University of Cambridge, the Cambridge Medical Research Council Centre, and the Babraham Institute in Cambridge. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Protein Engineering under the supervision of Alan Fersht of the University of Cambridge. His current research examines the functional and structural constraints on the evolution of proteins and protein systems. His work has been published in the Journal of Molecular Biology.
What others are saying:
“From childhood everyone directly grasps that life is designed - until they’re talked out of it by a culture saturated with materialism. Using the latest science, molecular biologist Douglas Axe shows why you don’t have to be an expert to trust your firm knowledge of the wonderful design of life.” (Michael J. Behe, author of Darwin's Black Box)

Phil & Julie D: In Undeniable (2016), Douglas Axe sets out to answer one of life’s biggest questions: To what or to whom do we owe our existence? He is persuaded that the answer to this question is innately accessible to every person through a common, undeniable design intuition. In spite of its ubiquity, however, life’s circumstances can desensitize this design-sensing apparatus in a way that distorts conclusions about reality, not least of which being those regarding life’s biggest questions. Thus, Axe presents readers with a cogent argument that justifies this intuition in a manner that hopefully reawakens it.
In a book-related interview, Axe explains that a key motivation for this project was the recognition that biological studies provide very clear and convincing technical arguments which show that life is designed; yet most people are untrained to follow such arguments in any technical detail and they certainly won’t be reading any scientific journals on the matter. Thus, he aims to present the basic rationale behind the design intuition in a manner that removes the necessity of specialized biological understanding so that everyone can follow the argument.

Son of Thunder: Easy to read, personal, insightful, informative and honest. Easy to read and the science for the minds of those who are not as scientifically articulate, the illustrations are delivered with a Christlike simplicity.
It's clear for honest discerning people to see/observe that evolution is the greatest hoax concocted in the past 150 years. Why has this deceit fools and controls those who should/do know better is as bigger mystery as evolution itself.
It is a brave thing indeed to come out from the scientific world and challenge the lies, deceptive means and sophistry of Dawkins, PZ Myers and the like where society has developed a mindset where now speaking, revealing, exposing the truth of a matter, any matter for that has now become the new "hate speech."
The damning conclusion is, there is no, not one shred of evidence for evolution and the myriads of theories this "theory" has created. Yet, against the facts, evidence and reason, evolution is spoken of as fact in the education system from primary to university, yet no option is given for students to consider the works, findings and proposals of Behe, Berlinski, Meyers or Axe!

Theodore D: Physics and chemistry are robust sciences that are constantly tested and refined. Evolutionary biology, on the other hand, stands out like a sore thumb in that it is constantly being questioned by a growing number of scientists. The reason is fundamentally this: it is not intelligible and it has no real explanatory power. This is quite an amazing book. Axe, himself a distinguished scientist with impeccable academic credentials, demolishes the Darwinian paradigm and exposes it for what it is; a failed theory that has hoodwinked so many people in the world, over many decades. Axe has published several seminal scientific papers in high-profile, peer-reviewed journals in protein chemistry which effectively shows that they can't evolve. What he has done in this book is to use logic and simple reasoning to confirm something we all intuitively know; that we, and all other forms of life on Earth, are the product of masterful design. As a scientist trained to PhD level in biochemistry, I have been sceptical of the evolutionary paradigm for some time but it has been difficult to explain this scepticism to the lay person, as evolutionary thought has pervaded the human psyche for so long. Axe...

Nelson C: This breakthrough book has been a great read. It explores how our design intuition when applied to nature is valid and how everyone can feel confident that those intuitions (having been sharpened you the points enumerated in the book) are correct. He shows us examples of design in nature and helps us to understand why.
Can alphabet soup, when the lid is removed from the pot, reveal complete instructions for building something new and useful? Clearly no. Well that illustrates the problem of the Neo-Darwinian explanation for the emergence of life from a primordial soup (or really any proposal of how the first life could've come about). This brings Axe to the principle of the Universal Design Intuition: "Tasks that we would need knowledge to accomplish can be accomplished only by someone who has that knowledge." This, he asserts, "...[is] the common human faculty by which we intuit design." His purpose thenceforth is to show that this intuition is reliable and provides a solid refutation to Darwinian explanations for life.
Axe shows us that the are many more possibilities than are likely to play out in reality. Why? Because our universe is bound by finite probabilistic...
