Monica Sams: I like the art style, the book is a good length with some simple information about dinosaurs. I was excited to get this for my Dino fanatic daughter for her second birthday. However part of the reason I got this was I thought it would be good because of a picture in the product description mentioning Sunday School. Mary Anning was herself a Christian, however the author evidently is not. There is mention of Mother Earth in this book, as well as several references to evolution & an old earth timeline. Pretty disappointing. Mary Anning was an incredible woman and well worth learning about though

Kristen Anne: My 7yo girl is currently obsessed with dinosaurs, so our house is quickly filling with all kinds of dino-related merchandise. We bought this book for her birthday, and it is now one of her favorites. She currently wants to be a paleontologist, just like Mary Anning, and refers to this book daily. It is informative, age appropriate, and interesting.

Rose: I love the fact that this book showcase Mary Anthony who for many years was left out of the conversation and when it comes to paleontology despite her many accomplishments It's great to have a boat that has a strong real Historical Person that my kids can look up too

Smith: The quality of this book is great! It’s not one of those cheaply printed Amazon books. The story and the illustrations are also beautiful. It’s fantastic for any dinosaur lover age 3plus. It dives into gender and class oppression in a kid friendly way. The book is a great conversation starter.

Ann Collinson: Bought for my 5 yr old granddaughter who had been told about Mary Anning in school and showed great interest in her. She loves the book, took it to school to show her friends and her teacher read it out to the class much to granddaughter's delight. They all enjoyed the book and Edie has anounced that she wants to be a palientologist when she grows up. We'll see. Good buy.

Jay: About the first (female) paleontologist. It drops some easy technicalities and explanations too, besides narrating her life from being a curious child to bring the leading expert in paleontology as well as mentioning a certain glass ceiling that she didn't manage to break.
