Jim: I carried my first Uncle Henry's pen knife exactly like the current one for 40 years. (Fact!) I finally sent it to retirement after I had sharpened the blade so many time that it was thin.
My new current one hold an edge a bit less than my original, and the back side of the blade sometimes hangs up in my pocket.
Overall, I love my Uncle Henry pen knife, but I do realize that the quality is a bit less than it was 40 years ago.

ElphabaGalahad: I love this little knife because my grandfather carried one in his pocket. I ordered a couple because I tend to lose little pocket items that are not attached to my keys - but for the purpose I bought it - it's just fine. I didn't know they were made in China - makes me sad, but the quality is fine.

Jenny Kack: Old Reputable Name making Quality Products that ARE NOT STAMPED "MADE IN CHINA". Thus be prepared to maybe pay a couple bucks more for that honor. You won't mind it by the time you finish your first Whistle! SORRY ABOUT THAT FOLKS: Though ONCE UPON A TIME UNCLE HENRY PRODUCTS WERE MADE IN THE U.S.A. THAT IS NO LONGER TRUE. THOUGH THE KNIVES ARE NOT STAMPED MADE IN CHINA THE BOXES THEY COM IN ARE SO MARKED MADE IN CHINA AND I AM CERTAIN THAT NOTICE DOES NOT REFER ONLY TO THE CARDBOARD BOX IT IS PRINTED ON.

Robyn Barnett: I have searched for a replacement for a knife my grandfather gave me at age 12 that I wanted to keep using (has a broken blade due to someone else) but I did not want to loose it and wanted to put it away. Finding a replacement so that I could have my grandfather with me and not run the risk of losing it made the long search worth it.
