'boro bookworm: I always wore cotton socks and those cute fuzzy socks that are sold to keep my feet warm at night but during the night I would have to take them off because they made my feet hot and sweaty once they were warm. Not these! I slept like a baby! They were just right. My feet were warm but never overheated. Obviously, they breathe well. I recommend them highly for anyone that has cold feet. Also, they were so soft and fit well. Stayed up on my leg but not binding. I always thought wool socks would be scratchy but these are wonderfully soft.

jutty: Very nice socks. Super soft. I'd say they're probably the nicest feeling socks I've had. Feel thick and sturdy on your feet. They are comfortably snug yet very stretchy. Put these on your feet and a pair of Sorel Glaciers over that and there's pretty much no earthly temperature that your feet will be cold at.

Paul Pruzansky: I have bought several types of alpaca socks, these are the thickest. In the winter I will find out how great they are.Alpaca, I have found , is the warmest socks around.
The fit is not as stretchy as others but others aren't as thick.

Good or Bad?: These are cozy warm socks but fit large. They tend to slide down your foot when walking which is frustrating. Many other brands of quality socks that fit better and are just as warm. I’ll stick with Smartwool in the future.

Liane Le Tendre: I am so disappointed. The socks are really lovely and they do not itch (as promised) but the size chart recommends a ladies medium for size 6 to 9.5 ... and they are just too big. The toe part (that is empty because the socks are too big) bunches up inside my boot, making them very uncomfortable to wear. :(

If you have a size 6 foot, go with the "small" size or you may face the same disappointment as I have. I bought them to wear with my winter boots. Looks like they will end up being used for nights if my feet get cold in bed. I can't think of any other use for them. For anyone with a size 7 to 9.5 foot, these would be perfect.

It is so frustrating! My printer isn't working, so I can't do a return, or I would. I can't afford to spend the money on a second pair. :(
