Jpwr: So much information packed in one cookbook! It took me a couple years to decide to get this wonderful cookbook. I have made several things from the blog and never has anything disappointed me. Just wonderful tasty recipes. The soups I've made are out of this world. Maria has an email each week with several recipes.I especially love their THIS AND THAT post. It is a he and she posting each week with links to everything from sports, hobbies, cooking, books, clothing that Maria loves. Just a mix of fun and interesting things to read.
I'm Looking forward to pouring through the cookbook and entertaining friends and family .
It was nice to read about Maria and Josh's passion for cooking. I have no doubt their boys will be , or are little chefs too.. I do think you should introduce all of us to Maria's Dad on the blog. He seems to have been a real catalyst for Maria's cooking/baking passion. His Cinnamon sweet rolls are terrific. Perhaps you could do a video of Maria and Dad making the sweet rolls! Thanks a million!

Mr. HecklesMr. Heckles: As someone who collects cookbooks I had my eye on this one for some time! So glad I picked it as my most recent addition - just bummed it took me this long!
This book is set up PERFECTLY. The recipes are easy to follow and the ingredients are easy (for me, in the Canadian prairies) to come across. The photos are absolutely stunning and the finished dishes are even more delicious and drool worthy.
I really can't recommend this one enough. Lots of helpful tips and tricks to boot!

C: One of my my favourite cookbooks in my collection! So many recipes are now family favourites. Easy and delicious meals and desserts to please everyone in the family. Here’s hoping it’s the first in a series from Maria Lichty!

CJ8605CJ8605: I purchased this cookbook because I’ve liked the majority of Maria’s recipes from the blog. They jive with my personal cooking style - healthish but nothing overly constraining, the occasional overindulgence and family friendly.
In the month I’ve had this cookbook, I’ve made maybe 10 recipes from it. My favorite savory recipe so far as been the mushroom farro soup - yum! Even my two year old was asking for seconds. The chocolate chip recipe was finicky in my opinion and my dough ended up dry, but I think that was operator error. They ended up being really yummy though.
I’m taking a star off though because it seems poorly copy edited for a professional cookbook. Specifically, I’ve noticed major errors in the two cookie recipes I’ve made so far. “Our favorite chocolate chip cookies” tells us to preheat the oven as the first step, but then chill the dough for 24-72 hours. Don’t know about you guys, but I don’t want to be running my oven just for funsies for three days. The “triple-chip chocolate cookies” tells you to add the decorative extra chips both immediately after removing from the oven and also three to five minutes after cooling,...

Julie: I'm a cookbook nerd. I love them (the great ones). I'd rather have the cookbook on my counter getting messy than looking at a recipe on a computer or its printout. A great cookbook starts with delicious recipes, but it doesn't stop there. It creates a user friendly design, adds gorgeous photos, educates, and entertains. This book has ALL of it!! I knew the recipes would be great and simple and fresh and easy to make, that's just how Two Peas operates. I expected their cookbook would turn out well, but my expectations have been surpassed. I love how the content covers appetizers through desserts, including hearty vegetarian options. I always struggle coming up with side dishes, but they have those too. I've already tagged so many recipes to try that I won't need ideas for awhile. There is even a section providing easy and fun ideas for feeding big groups or hosting a party. There are other tips and tricks included throughout the book in educational sections (stocking a kitchen for success, etc), in sidebars, and as notes on the recipe. I had no idea you could tell the ripeness of an avocado by using a stem trick. Why not pick up new skills while trying out a recipe?! I also found...
