SusanG: The tree came in 3 pieces, easy to assemble -no plug to play (it is all in the base). I set it up upon arrival (July 2023) to make sure it worked correctly. The branches need to be fluffed a bit, but it is a full tree, and I am certain the ornaments will fill it in when we set it up in December. The app was easy to put on my phone and the rest was just having fun! My husband liked it so much he said put it in the living room for a few days -which we did! More Fun! I also purchased a bag to store it in, the tree fit perfectly (Christmas Tree Storage by Westline 47x15x20 rectangle) and is stored away until the season. Can't wait- it has taken me years to convince the family to go to an artificial tree, and this tree was the deal maker!

AJ: Very easy to assemble and the lights work well with the app. You need to "register" the lights with the app using your camera and it was hard to get all the lights synced, not sure if I ever got them all but it was good enough. I wish there were more branches as some areas were a bit bare but with ornaments and the lights on it wasn't noticeable. Not having to deal with stringing lights was worth it.
Next time I'll get a taller tree, my 5.5 ft one was a little small but would be great for a kids room or for
a small space.
The lights patterns matched the ones on the app for the most part, the patterns which include numbers or pictures don't work at all on the tree, just blotches of color. It was a bit of a pain to create my own program, but I got it eventually. There may have been a better way to do it and I just didn't have the patience to figure it out. Regardless, I will buy it again when I need a new tree.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Okay so I really debated before i purchased my special edition 400 RBG+White light tree. But man—-it was totally worth it. It’s super easy to assemble—comes in 3 pieces that just sit on top of each other. Some light fluffing and then you download the Twinkly app and do a scan of the tree, which identifies where your lights are for the light configurations. I recommend taking the time to do the 3D scan. It makes the tree look soooo much better when patterns or shapes are in play. The colors are extremely vibrant and i loved being able to create my own ideas. What’s nice is they have TONS of designs already and you can edit them to put in your own colors-even make your own colors. It works with Alexa and google as well so once you have it connected you can turn it off and on with those if you have them. It does play to music, but only if the app is open on your phone. I found this to be the only downside of my tree. The sellers are amazing to work with. I thought i had an issue with my tree initially but i called them and they were soooo helpful. Paul J: The tree itself is of medium quality. I have an artificial tree I bought years ago that is much higher quality, much more realistic. If you're buying this for the tree, I would pass.
The tree was exceedingly easy to assemble. I'm guessing that all of the lights are controlled with radio frequency signals, so the lights simply need power. The "trunk" of the tree carries power, and this connection is made simply by stacking the three sections of the tree together, there are no cables you need to plug in. Very nice. Assembling the tree consists of stacking the three sections on top of each other and plugging in the controller, nothing more.
The connection to my home Wi-Fi went very smoothly.
I ran into problems trying to map the lights. There are two choices, "3D Fast", and "3D". I searched everywhere I couldn't find an explanation of the difference. After some testing, I discovered that 3D Fast requires only a single picture, and the mapping is very fast. When you use 3D Fast, the lights on the side where the picture was taken are nicely in sync, the lights on the opposite side of the tree are roughly in sync, but not nearly as impressive.
