The Modernist Medium: I have been putting off my tub and sink recaulking for a few years because I didn't have the right tools and didn't want it look crappy. I can only imagine how it would look if I used a chisel to scrape off the old caulk and use my finger to smoosh on the new caulk. This caulking tool is an all in one and IMHO is pretty great. I can use one side that has a sharper edge to remove the caulk. Flip it over and pop on the right tip on the other end and get to swiping. The hand of the tool is plastic and comes with a variety of silicone tips in different-size angles. The tips stay on well, so it takes a little bit to work one off the handle but once you figure out how it's easy.
I have conquered my kitchen sink and am actually looking forward to doing my tub now. I'm very happy with this great tool.

Modern Millennial: This is a great tool, perfect for working on perfecting caulk lines. I'm hoping to get good enough using it that I can avoid having to run the painter's tape to get those perfect clean lines. Wouldn't that be the dream?
This tool is plastic, with soft changeable tips that take a little work to pop off actually, but they are easy to switch once you get the hang of pulling them off. There are a variety of sizes to meet your needs for each corner and edge you are trying to smooth. The opposite side of the tool has a sharp (not sharpened, but sharp enough to remove caulk) trowel-like tool that will cut away and peel back old caulk so you can get started with new beads. Then, under these tools, a scraper, lets you clean the residue and scrap away the old caulk. Really, this tool has all you need to remove, clean, and smooth caulk after you apply a new bead. The only left is the practice to get the hang of it in general, but it's a quick learning curve.
