JosephineJosephine: These shorts are comfortable and have some stretch to them. They fit well and don't cause any sitting into on the hip/waist. The shred in the back isn't too revealing and it hasn't frayed with normal use/wash. The bottom of the shorts sits right below the butt.

Ms. G: The shorts are cute and show exactly enough however I followed the sizing and reviews and said they stretch so I got a large. I could get in them and I did get them buttoned but it was tight on my belly so I'm returning to get an extra large l. Also in my opinion they are not high waist otherwise they would be over the belly and these were not I don't have a super huge belly but definitely enough for reference

Avery Hier: I was very hesitant to buy them since they looked pretty tight and also I wasn't sure how often I'd be wearing them, what with the back/pockets torn out like they were. (I get that it's how they were designed, it's just a bit out of my comfort zone, and I was trying something new.)
After reading some of the reviews and being a bit reassured that they weren't too small or made of very unforgiving fabric, I got myself a pair and hands down, they're my favorite pair of shorts to wear now. Even just around the house, if I'm not going out. They are SO stretchy and comfortable, and you honestly don't "feel" that the back of them are ripped/cut out. The strips of fabric back there don't push or cut into you, and it feels almost like they aren't ripped at all. They do ride up a bit, especially if you're sitting for long periods of time and shifting around, but nothing too uncomfortable. I do have to be careful about hiking them up or down if I need to adjust where they sit, because sometimes manual adjustment of all the rips in the back is required.
And to my absolute happiness, the front pockets are MUCH bigger than pockets you find on women's shorts at any store - likely...
